" tri-wizard party "
"ced, you can't just say that." charlotte scolded.
"yes, well..."
"ced!"
"c'mon, lovegood." the two hufflepuffs stopped as they heard grunting from around the corner, following thing hushed words. the shared a look as they slowly crept to the wall, scared for what was behind it.
"either luna's in trouble..." cedric trailed off.
"or she's getting some." charlotte whispered, smirking.
"just give it up already." another grunt.
"sounds like lorenzo." cedric whispered.
"there you go, lovegood. that's all you had to do."
"still can't tell."
"should we leave?"
"maybe."
they stayed glued to the wall.
"i can't leave."
"me either."
"i have an idea." charlotte said, before leaving cedric at the wall. she walked halfway down the hall, before turning around and calling out luna's name. "luna! where are you?"
cedric listened as he heard rustling, before the blonde ravenclaw made her way out from around the corner, not seeing cedric.
"hi char."
"there you are, where were you?"
"just reading."
the girl nodded as they walked away, heading towards the great hall for a meeting call by dumbledore. cedric waited for the kid who had been with luna. when the brunette finally made himself known, cedric stayed quiet as he watched enzo adjust his belt.
definitely sex.

"cedric! cedric! cedric!" the cheers filled the great hall, bursting charlotte's eardrums. most hufflepuff boys chanted cedric's name as he approached the goblet of fire to put in his paper.
"i can't believe you. you're going to get yourself killed." charlotte shook her head as he came back to the group. she watched as various kids put their names in, including the weasley twins who used an age potion.
after a little while, professor dumbledore appeared and prepared to read the names. viktor krum and fleur delacour were both called from the other schools. charlotte's leg bounced subconsciously as she awaited the hogwarts champion.
"cedric diggory!"
"fuck." she muttered, turning towards the happy boy. she hugged him tightly, hoping that everything would end up alright.
"harry potter!" he head turned to the middle of the room.
"isn't he my age? he's fourteen!" she said to cedric, who just shrugged and watched.
that kids going to die, she thought.

a few weeks later, a small party sprouted in the slytherin common room to celebrate the hogwarts tri-wizard competitors.
walking into the room, charlotte turned to her best friend. "why are we here?"
"because they're celebrating me. i have to be here." cedric joked.
