Liam was pacing now, unable to keep still. He knew he shouldn't worry, werewolves couldn't get sick but something about this situation didn't sit right with him. Maybe he'd been spending too much time with Stiles or it was the paranoia finally catching up to him but Liam couldn't help but wonder if everyhting was as it seems.

There was business all around him, people in hazmats suits setting up better and better forms of containing the virus or whatever had infected the students. Clearly, this seemed to be something serious. The CDC certainly wasn't taking this whole thing lightly.

"You want my opinion?" The Sheriff's voice floated through Liam's head. He was talking to Scott's father, an FBI agent who had just rushed in to see if his son was okay. "I don't think the Orphans weren't the only professional killers in Beacon Hills."

"So you think this was targetted? A biological weapon?" McCall responded, his anxiety clear as he spoke, "Targetting who?"

"I don't know." Liam felt the Sheriff's eyes burn a hole into the back of his head as he spoke. Liam heard his heart skip a beat, clearly lying to the agent. It was an attack on supernatural creatures and they both knew it.

Liam got a call and he picked it up without looking. Liam couldn't tear his eyes away from the school as he listened to the voice on the other line.

"Hey Liam, you there?" It was Melissa, "Hello?"

"Yeah I'm here." Liam took a deep breath, trying ignore how his voice sounded wobbly. "What's up?"

"We need you to meet us in the hospital. It's about the lockdown that your friends and my son are trapped in. There's a virus designed to kill werewolves in there." Melissa's voice shook as she spoke, "Derek, Satomi, Braeden and I are looking for a cure. Deaton will be here soon. We need your help."

"Hospital. Be there soon." Liam's words sounded distant and far off, even to him. He slipped his cellphone back into his pocket and ran. He didn't care who saw him at this point, it didn't matter. He was a known athlete, that could be his excuse. All he needed was to get to the hospital so he could work on a goddamn cure before Theo was killed. And the others too of course.

--------

"Jesus fuck." Theo groaned, holding his side as he dry heaved. He hadn't eaten breakfast but he imagined that if he had, it would've been all over the floor. "I forgot how much I hated this."

"Weren't you poisoned like two days ago?" Isaac joked, coughing as he did so. They both had weak smiles on their faces.

"Yeah yeah whatever." Theo said, adjusting himself to sit upright. Malia and Stiles were in the corner of the vault, whispering among themselves. Malia looked the worst out of all of them so far while Stiles just seemed pale and sweaty, pretty on course for him.

Isaac and Scott kind of surprised Theo. The two were leaned up against a shelf together, their legs pressed together and Theo wasn't sure he could trust his shitty ass vision but it looked like Scott was holding onto Isaac's arm.

Recently, Kira and Scott had seemed a little off. It wasn't really Theo's business but he'd noticed how a lot of the excitement from their relationship seemed to be from the not knowing. Or maybe it was because Isaac had returned and Scott couldn't help but fall back in love with him. Kira had seemed more distant from Scott and the two had gone back to seeming more like friends than an actual couple. The last time they held hands? That was probably the morning that Theo had seduced Liam into going to a fake party.

Oh God. Liam. Theo felt himself his stomach twist and he wasn't sure if it was the anxiety that worrying about Liam caused or the fact that he was infected with something. Maybe a combination. Liam wouldn't have been at school because it was a Saturday. Hopefully he was out having fun with Mason and living his best life. Liam deserved that.

Theo threw up for the first time, a dribble of black blood oozing down his chin as he retched. It wasn't a pretty sight or sound. Theo was exhausted, slumping against the shelf he'd chosen as his final resting spot. He was used to be sick, having been in and out of hospitals his entire life. Throwing up blood was normal to him. Well, it used to be until he got bit by a werewolf in the woods and stopped getting sick. He'd lost his resistance to the overwhelming sickness.

"Someone's looking for us." Scott said. Theo could barely hear him. "Stiles, you gotta go... go distract them and find something."

"Okay. I'll go." Theo heard those words before only hearing ringing. He didn't want to tip them off that he couldn't hear anything, unsure of how they would react so he stayed still. Watching Stiles say goodbye to Malia before leaving out the vault door.

"We aren't getting out of here, are we?" Theo's own words broke the unbearable ringing in his head. They weren't the kind of words that brought comfort, especially when Scott, ever the optimist, couldn't look him in the eyes to tell him he was wrong.
