"Kira and Isaac are going to be on the outside." Stiles said, taking control of the room. "Argent's walking around the hospital. Melissa needs some protection so one of you guys can take that job. The other one is just kind of look out near the hospital doors yet out of sight. Liam, Theo and I will be staying here. Everyone got it?"

"I can take care of Melissa." Isaac raised his hand, "I realize that sounds like I'm going to kill her but I love Melissa."

"I'll take the doors then." Kira smiled as the two took off, running down the hallways. This left the three boys alone in the empty hospital room.

"And so it begins." Stiles said, his finger tips pressed together in a classic evil villain move. Theo had noticed him checking his phone. Constantly. Clearly he was stressed if he was using this many jokes to deflect his feelings.

"Have you heard from Malia yet?" Theo asked, looking away from Stiles to look at the laptops.

"No it's radio silence. Has she talked to you at all?" Stiles' desperation was leaving an unsavory smell in the room but Theo understood it. He cared about Malia greatly and out of everyone, Theo and Malia were closer than most. Maybe the coyote in them.

"Uh no. Sorry dude." Theo winced, sneaking a quick look at Liam. He was still upset that Liam hadn't turned down the offer of not being here. This was dangerous. This was a suicide mission in some aspects and Liam had still chosen to go.

It made him scared. And angry. A combination that only came out when someoen threatened his life normally but recently, it had seemed to be there all the time. Maybe it was Liam, maybe it was the deadpool, maybe it was something else. It didn't matter to him. Theo just wanted it to go away, he was tired of the constant connection that seemed to tie him to this world. He was his own anchor, he was a chimera.

Yet he felt his heart speed up every time he saw Liam in the corner of his eye. He wanted to yell at Stiles for giving him an option. They should've sent him home. Liam didn't deserve to be putting his life on the line. Theo wanted to scream or punch something but that wasn't really an option. What was an option however, was ignoring Liam. Doing what he'd learned from the books and the experts.

Repressing the shit out of it.

"Cameras are getting fuzzy." Stiles cursed, hitting his laptop. "I think it's a problem with the transmitter that Argent put on the roof."

"I'll check it out." Theo said, extending his claws and sprinting out of the room. There was a literal ticking clock over their heads. There wasn't any time to waste. He found his way onto the roof quickly.

"Theo!" Liam called as they stumbled onto the roof and for the first time, Theo realized that Liam had followed him out here.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Theo cursed at him, his eyes glowing amber.

"I'm here incase this is more than a malfuction." Liam took a step back, confused at Theo's actions. He turned around, stalking away from Liam and towards the transmitter. "Did I do something?"

"What are you talking about?" Theo didn't look at Liam as he kneeled down, investigating the sparking and spluttering transmitter.

"You've been ignoring me all of today. You keep looking at me like you're pissed at me as well and I don't know why." Liam crossed his arms, "What did I do?"

"You didn't do anything." Theo refused to look at Liam, despite being able to feel his eyes burning holes into the back of his head. "Everything's fine."

"Clearly everything is not fine because you're avoiding me!" Liam snapped, "So what the fuck is up?"

"Nothing! Jesus Christ Liam." Theo groaned, irritated. "There are more important things right now anyways."

"So something is wrong." Liam snapping his fingers like he'd firgured everything out. "You admit it!"

"Fuck off Liam!" Theo roared, turning around to see... fucking berserkers. They were directly behind Liam. "Move!"

"What-" Liam was confused, clearly hurt as Theo pushed him to the side. He hit the concrete and hissed with pain before looking up. Theo was fighting these two massive creatures covered in skulls, rags and more. Liam felt like throwing up at just the sight of them.

His fear turned to anger as he saw Theo fly into a wall, something he didn't need to see. Liam felt his blood boil as he stood up, growling loudly. His claws were extended, fangs out and he was sure his eyes were glowing a bright yellow.

Without waiting another second, Liam flew into battle. Jumping on one of their backs and clawing at their skin (was it really skin though? Liam didn't want to know) with power. For a few seconds, Liam thought he was winning. Until he went flying into an electric fance.

That didn't stop him though. Liam threw himself back at the creature but found himself knocked against the same wall that Theo was currently slumped against, groaning loudly. Fear struck Liam's heart as he looked at Theo, who's eyes were fluttering open and shut. It was like time froze for a few seconds.

"Theo?" He shook his shoulders, waking him up a little more. "Theo, we gotta go. Come on."

He didn't speak as Liam helped him up, using himself as a crutch to get Theo the fuck out of there. There was zero way they could beat two berserkers and they both knew it. Hell, Scott could barely do it.

"Kate fucking Argent." Theo laughed slightly as they made their way to the door, "Kate fucking Argent."
