The thing is...

He always thought it would be really cool if mythical creatures actually existed.

He had always loved fantasy, read it, watched it, listened to it, play it. His entire life, he always had some universe to get lost in.
He even liked those cringy werewolf TV shows, he'd also watched Twilight a few times and not wanted to barf.

He always thought having powers would be cool. Being able to control fire, or shoot lighting, breath underwater, fly...

He believed it would simply be enough to be the boring human friend; The one in so many supernatural TV shows he'd watched.
The one whose just there for comic relief, who eventually dies because the main character needed to have trauma to overcome.

He thought that it would be fun, exciting.

And for a few minutes it was.
Seeing Soobin's powers, and glimpsing Kai's...
It had been like a dream.
But now-
He wanted to wake up.

Everything was different about this school now.

Everywhere Beomgyu looked he could see the things he missed before.

He had found out from Taehyun and his friends how many different kinds of creatures walked these halls with him.
And now that they had been pointed out, everything had a different meaning.

But what was worse, is now he knew who was what.
And that meant he knew who wanted to eat him.

He wasn't missing the stares some students gave him on his first day, but what he did miss was what they meant.

Lycans wanted to kill him.
The Fae wanted to rob his soul.
The Aligned (wizards basically) were mad that a human was in their school.

But there was one thing worse then all of that. And it made him terrified, truly, undeniably terrified, as he sat in his history class. Waiting for it to start.

There were only a few in the whole school. Because apparently they were rare now, ever since an crusade happened with a certain inquisition hundreds of years ago.

And some how, all four of them were in his history.

The one, and only, good thing about this was that it explained why his first day had been so...weird.

Choi Yeonjun, was a vampire.
And not just any vampire, a pure blood from the Clan that ruled Seoul.
He was important, and not only that he had never once lived a day as human.

Taehyun told him that Yeonjun was as cruel as his kind came. And Taehyun had a personal vendetta against the boy for that.
That hate was only elevated when he started to take an extra notice and interest in Beomgyu.

He hadn't told Taehyun that Yeonjun was in his class. He hadn't said a word, but sitting here, waiting for a boy whose first instinct was to eat him alive...

He realized he probably should have.

Choi Yeonjun was the epitome of a killer and the person who he wanted to kill most at a biological level was Beomgyu.

Taehyun told him that it didn't matter if consciously a vampire didn't want to take a life. It didn't even matter if they loved a human, like a sister or father.
Their instinct won.
