Plot: Leo and (Y/N) get into a fight and break up. Leo realizes how much he needs (Y/N) and tries to get her back.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry if I ever made you feel ignored, but I'm the leader of the team and I have a lot on my plate!" Leo said calmly as his girlfriend (Y/N) paced the room in her apartment in anger.
"That's not an excuse, Leo! You always make time for your brothers, but you never make time for me!"
"That's not true. I value your opinion and I appreciate everything you do for the team!"
"But you never listen to me! You always do things your own way, even when I suggest a different approach! You clearly don't care what I have to say!" (Y/N) yelled as she stopped pacing and stood in front of Leo.
"I understand that you want to be more involved, but I have to make tough decisions sometimes. It's not personal." Leo tried to understand and make (Y/N) feel better.
Mikey had been teaching him better ways to express his feeling and he as trying to use them but his girlfriend was making it really difficult for him. Leo started to text Mikey when (Y/N) wasn't looking so he could get advice on what to say.
"It feels personal to me, Leo. We're supposed to be a team, but it seems like you only care about what you want."
"I'm sorry you feel that way (Y/N)." Leo said as he looked at his phone quickly, reading what Mikey was texting him.
"Don't pull the 'I'm sorry you feel that way' bullshit on me! I know you don't give a shit and you are just a self absorbed, arrogant, idiotic mutant who can't regard his girlfriends feelings!" (Y/N) paused, "Also, I see you looking at your phone! I know that Mikey is texting you!"
"Y'know what (Y/N)?! I am texting Mikey! Wanna know why? Because you make it so difficult to be respectful and kind that I need someone to help me so I don't insult every flaw in your being!" Leo threw his phone and yelled as he pointed at (Y/N) and continued to shout everything that came to mind. "Also, I'm not the arrogant one! If anyone is arrogant in this relationship, it's you! You're always talking about how much better you are than anybody else! You're not better than anyone! In fact, you are more annoying than Mikey!"
"Excuse me?!"
"You'll be excused when you stop acting like a bitch!" Leo screamed at the top of his lungs.
(Y/N) brows unfurrowed and her eyes went wide with shock and horror.
"I can't believe you just said that to me. Maybe everyone was right about this." (Y/N) said quietly.
"About what?"
"About this relationship not working out! Everyone warned me that you were too cocky and too childish to be in a committed and self respecting relationship. They said it would never work, but I didn't listen. I loved you too much to accept it, and now I realize that I should've listened." She said quickly before running out the door, tears evident on her face.
"What the hell was that Leo?!" Leo said to himself, almost smacking himself in the face with how stupid he felt.
Days went by and the two didn't talk, call, or even see each other. Leo had isolated himself in his room. He never left, not even to eat, sleep, or use the bathroom. He didn't have the energy. He didn't feel that he deserved to do anything with a purpose. His brothers were extremely concerned and felt that the had to do something.
Mikey cracked Leo's door opened to find his brother sniffling while laying in his bed, surrounded by an ocean of used tissues and other weird things.
"Leo, are you okay?" Mikey asked.
"Oh yeah! The love of my life just left me! I'm better than ever!" Leo shouted sarcastically.
"I understand that you're upset, but-" Mikey started.
"No you don't. You've never loved anyone but your family. (Y/N) was my world, she was my light. Now it's just a dark, dead, gigantic void in space."
"Normally, I would be so happy that you're being poetic, but I will save the celebration for another time." Mikey muttered.
"Please leave Mikey. I don't want to talk about it. She left and now I have no purpose."
"Y'know what? You've got to be one of the dumbest people I have ever met! I can't believe that the world's savior is just going to sit here, and let a bunch of feeling about a girl that HE let go, make him wallow in sadness. If you want pity, you ain't gettin' it son!" Mikey yelled as he picked up his brother off of his bed and dragged him by the feet out of his room.
Leo groaned and sighed as Mikey dragged him to the manhole ladder.
"What do you want me to do?" Leo asked, clearly exhausted.
"I want you to climb your bummed-out, tired ass out of this sewer and go and get back to the love of your life!"
"Why should I do that?"
"Because this is your romance story! The lover comes back in every story! They always do!"
"Well not in this one." Leo mumbled as he started to walk back to him room.
"Leo, I swear to god! If you don't get that woman back right now I'm going to cut your arm off and bury you underneath the arcade room!"
"Ugh! Fine! Whatever!" Leo shouted curses and insults as he walked back to the ladder and climbed it.
"Get 'er back Romeo!" Mikey shouted as Leo lifted the manhole cover and climbed onto the surface.
A/N- ig we will have to see where this goes. I'm lowkey out of ideas and I'm so desperate for stuff to write. I'm gonna work on the family's reaction to the fight. Soooooo yay! Also, thx for reading this book. It's doing really well and come so far bc of all of u guys. Thank u so much!
