Chapter 4: A sticky situation

    As Meggy and Auri walked back to the main area entrance of the prison, they brought in Mario and work up a plan together to take down Ink bigerra.
"We only have a short amount of time," Said Auri, "Ink Bigerra could drown the town in its sticky ink! Do you guys have any ideas?"
"No, not really." Honestly said, Meggy.
Auri turned to look at Mario, still looking stupid as he always is, "What about you Mario? Do you know anything that can take that monster down?" 
Mario thinks hard of what he could do, a light bulb flickered out from his head head. He then looked at the exit door, with a smug smile on his face, knowing exactly what he was about to do. "YOLOOOOOOOOOO!" He wailed, and ran out the door, breaking it down in the process, and ran all the way to the plaza!
"MARIO NO!" Screamed Meggy, and quickly ran outside to get Mario back in.
It didn't took long for Mario to return to the plaza, and he walked up towards the big ink creature with confidence. Meggy hid behind one of the destroyed buildings, watching in absolute horror as what Mario was about to do.
"Ay!" Yelled Mario at the ink creature, which got its attention.
The eyes of the beast were staring deadly down at him, menacingly. Mario too stared deadly back at them, he lifted his fingers and pointed at the Ink creature.
"Your a poopy head!" He braveringly said, That comment made it angry, "Can you spell it out, YOUR A POOPY HEA-" Before he could finish his sentence, Ink Bigerra aggressively smacked Mario so hard, it flew him back to the prison at top speed!
 Meggy saw as he soared through the sky, and was boiling with disbelief. Auri came out just in time to witnessed Mario landing face first to the ground. 
"Mario's pingas has just went to heaven." He groaned, getting back up from the impact. 
"God damn it Mario." Said Meggy, angrily, "Running towards it and yelling insults to it won't stop it from terrorizing the town!" She added.
"Ay! It'sa worth the shot!" Defensively said Mario.
Meggy just facepalm herself, furiously.
"Say." Suddenly said Auri, "I just remembered something that might be able to help! Follow me, back inside!"
With nothing else to do, they followed Auri back inside the prison again. Auri then began to search for something, as he trashed almost everything out from their places.
"I remembered," He started, "There was this old doctor who came here before, and he unknowingly left one of his machines here after he left off on the boat."
"A machine?" Questioned Meggy, "Well, how's it gonna help us get rid of whatever that thing is!"
"Well from witnessing what the doctor did to it last time," Continued Auri, as he searched deep into the closet behind the counter, "Ink Bigerra gets hurt when it gets in contact with water! And with this machine, if I could ever find it, maybe it would help us take care of this mess!"
"That machine is?"
Auri finally founded the machine, and brought it out of the closet.
"Here it is!" He said, in a pride tone.
The machine in question had a water tank, with two handle bars, and a nozzle with a sharp point behinds its head. It also had a belt and straps, so it could hang on to the person using it. Auri then turned it on, which awakened it.
"HALLELUJUAH!" Yelled Mario, "Holy SHIT!"
The machine started to wiggle a bit, and shook its head as it got itself into the right position.  
"Power-up complete." Said the machine, "Thank you for purchasing this item from Gadd Science Incorporated." It said to them, "I am FLUDD, a Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device. I hope to be of assistance."
Mario's eyes suddenly widen in realization. 
"Oh no..." He said in a trembling voice.
"Something the matter Mario?" Asked Meggy.
"Oh, NOOOOOOOO!"
"What's wrong! What is it!" Questioned a distressed Auri.
"Greetings again, Mario" It said. 
"You know this machine?" Auri asked.
"Yeah," Mario regretfully said, "And It was a horrible one too." he then added.
"Well no time for another reunion right now," Interrupted Meggy, "We still haven't gotten a plan!"
An awkward silent has filled the room. Nobody had any ideas what to do with the situation they were in, especially on how to defeat, Ink Bigerra. That's untill Mario stood up, and tilted his cap forward, covering his face. 
"Let Mario do it." He said.
 Meggy and Auri looked at each other with doubts, and looked back at Mario. 
"Are you sure Mario?" Asked Auri, "If you do this, then-"
"I said let the Mario do it!" He yelled, angrily at Auri. 
"...Okay." Said Auri, "If you say so..."
So Auri gave FLUDD to Mario, to which Mario proceed's to wear it on, putting his hands through the straps, and locking up the belt around his chest. He then gets himself ready before leaving off to fight himself up with Ink Bigerra. As soon Mario was ready to leave out the prison once more, Meggy stopped him by the door.
"Mario!" She yelled across the room.
Mario turned his head around and looked back at her.
"Please..." She said, "Don't mess it up."
Mario nodded his head as he adjusted his cap, he then looked back at the door with confidence in his eyes.
"Alright... Lets'a go..."
Mario slammed the door wide open and walked down towards the plaza, fearlessly. Meggy and Auri followed him behind, they were unsure if Mario could actually do it by himself. They hid at the same destroyed building where Meggy hid, and hid from their as they witness the fight between Mario and The Ink beast.
"Hey stinky!" Yelled Mario again to Ink Bigerra, catching its attention once more as It stared down to Mario menacingly, grunting as its body turn to aim at him.
"Don't, fuck, with the Mario!" He said in a tough voice.
The ink creature roared at him in anger, and began to run towards him without mercy! Mario then grasped onto the handle bars of FLUDD and pleaded for it to work. As if by luck, Mario was able to spray the beast down before it could get to him! FLUDD thankfully had enough water in its tank to take them down with ease.
The ink creature yelped in pain as the water hurts them like fire. They started to slowly evaporate, making them just a little bit smaller than they were originally.
"Defeated now Bitch!" Hollered Mario, still spraying water on them, aggressively.
Ink Bigerra still roared in pain, So much in fact that it had to break a huge piece off from the building and try to crush Mario with it! Mario jumped out of the way, dodging it's attack with success. Ink Bigerra still try to squash him with that broken building piece, over and over again. Mario kept jumping, and dodging its attacks, unable to spray them with water.
Meggy and Auri watched in fear, scared to know of what would happen next.
"Auri, I don't think its working! We should help him!" Meggy, cried in fear.
Auri looked around to see if there's anything they can use to help out. He then spotted a conveniently placed inflatable pool on one of the intact buildings near the inky beast.
"Hey Meggy!" He said to her, "There's an inflatable pool over there! If we're lucky enough, there could be water that could melt away Ink Bigerra!"
Meggy looked at where the Inflatable pool was, she also saw some path's to take to get up there as well.
"If I could get up to the ruined house," She though "I could then jump up to the next building to the next, and run across from there!"
She then turned down to Auri.
"Auri! Give me a boost up!"
"On it!"
Auri then proceeded to put his hands out for Meggy to stand on. She then got onto his hands, and then Auri gave her a boost up to the destroyed house!
"I'll be right back," She said, "you stay close attention to Mario, make sure he doesn't stops dodging!"
"Okay!" he replied.
And so, Meggy left jumping onto the next building to the other, getting higher and higher to the get to the exact height needed to get the inflatable pool. Once she got to the height she needed, she then ran across on top of the roof's to get towards the inflatable pool as fast as she can! Meanwhile, Mario was still dodging against the Ink monsters aggressive smashing, and slamming with the broken piece of the building. He was getting tired of jumping back and forth, and side to side.
"Come on!" He said, getting annoyed "Will you just give up you over sized pile of shit!" He yelled at the ink creature.
The insult made them much more angry than it was before, It started to smash Mario with the building much more faster!
"Ah!" Screamed Mario, "I take that back, SPARE ME!"
Back with Meggy, she was still running across the building, jumping gaps as she goes. Everything was going swell until she had to come at a complete stop. She noticed that the inflatable pool was across on the other side with a huge gap in between! It was too big of a jump for her to even get across!
"Fiddle sticks! How am I gonna jump across the gap this big!"
She looked around again, and noticed that there was another balcony at the same building where the inflatable pool was at, but it was lower than it is near it. She thought if maybe by chance, she'll be able to land the jump there, and could run out to the halls, and enter the stairway to the balcony and drop the pool at Ink Bigerra!
"Well." She said, dreadfully, "Here goes nothing!"
So Meggy then backed up a little bit to gain some speed, ran up, and took the leap of fate! She was very unsure that she'll make it across! She screamed in fear hoping, she could make it out alive! Everything was flashing before her very eyes. Then, a miracle happened! Her hands were grabbing tightly at edge of the iron fence of the balcony! She breathed heavily as she was hanging on to dear life! She then climbed up, got over the iron fence of the balcony, ran inside the house, exited, and ran up the stairs to enter to roof!
Meanwhile, with Auri, he was still watching Mario hopelessly dodging the ink monster's attack. He notices on how Mario was getting slower with his jumps everytime he watches.
"I gotta help out, But how?" He thought.
He still proceeded to watch Mario in fear as he think of something to do. All of a sudden, Auri got the idea he needed.
"I know just what to do!"
without thinking about it, he ran up to where Mario and Ink Bigerra was at! Mario was getting slower and slower with his dodges, nearly getting smashed at times.
"Are you done yet?" He said, dully.
Then there was trouble, Mario tripped and fell to the ground, giving the beast a chance to squish him once and for all!
"Hey lets'a not get violent!" He pleaded "Lets'a settle our differences an-"
As soon as he was about to get squashed like a pancake, Auri came in just in time to stop Ink Bigerra from crushing Mario.
"Hey you!" He yelled, pointing to the Inky beast getting its attention on him.
"Your a...uh..." Auri stuttered in his words, still thinking of an insult to say, "You're... You're A big o'l meany!" He yelled at it.
Mario and the ink monster we're just staring at him in confusion from what he just said. Auri felt embarrassed, he wasn't used to calling out people with insults.
"Um... And you smell like dirty old gym socks!"
The insult had triggered the ink beast, and it roared at Auri in anger! It lost interest in Mario, and started to chase down Auri!
"I REGRET EVERYTHING I SAID!" Cried Auri, trying to run away from the ink beast. 
"Boy, oh boy." Said Mario trying to catch his breath, "I'ma tired..."
He then rested against the wall, not doing anything to help Auri, who is comically being chased by an Ink monster.
Finally with Meggy, She was able to make it onto of the roof, where the inflatable pool was at. "Ugh, finally!" She said in relieved, and ran towards the inflatable pool.
Luckily the pool was still filled with water inside of it, Meggy then looked to where the ink beast was at, and saw it  was chasing Auri!
"HELP ME!" He continuously yelled.
"AURI!" Meggy then yelled, trying to get his attention, "OVER HERE!"
Auri heard and started to run to where Meggy was at along with the ink monster right behind him! As soon as they got to the spot needed, Meggy quickly pushed the inflatable pool off the roof, and it landed perfectly onto Ink Bigerra!
The creature started waling in pain, evaporating rapidly, and shrinking. Mario then woke up from his nap, and got startled to see that it was near him. He then sprayed it with the water he had left inside of FLUDD, which helped it quickly to kill off the ink beast, Turning nothing but steam.
As soon as the steam clouds we're gone, the 3 stood their, unknowingly knowing what they've done.
"Did...Did we did it?" Asked Auri.
"We did it." Then said Meggy, "WE DID IT!"
"Wahoo! Yeah!" Cheered Mario.
"We did it Mario!" Auri also cheered, and gave Mario a high five!
Meggy jumped down from the roof to the balcony, to another balcony, and landed between them "Guys! We did it! We actually did it!"
"WE DID IT!" They cheered out, and ganged together for a group hug!
All of a suddenly, the people of Port Aurora came back, and they all cheered, and whoop to all three of them.
"Thank you!" Someone from the crowd. 
"Your hero's!" Said another.
"Three cheers for our new hero's!"
The whole towns people cheered and hipped for Meggy, Mario, and Auri's heroic acts. Everyone was all cheery, and thrilled. It would've been perfect for everyone. But out from the crowd there was an eerie, and noticeable slow clap that was heard.
Everyone stopped, and turned their back to see who it was, and everyone gasped. They were human unlike the regulars of the island, although they seem to look uncanny looking.  He was tall, seeming to have smooth white skin but his face had some wrinkles, He wore a dark blue shaded glasses, making his eyes hard to see, he also wore all black with a black suit jacket and black pants, and he also wore what appears like a short cloak but without the hood also colored in black.
He just stood there for a second, and then started to walk towards Mario, Meggy, and Auri, unnaturally with his cane.
"Uh Auri, whose he?" Asked Meggy, getting chills.
"That's our new mayor," Said Auri quietly, "and he's also our judge of Port Aurora too. We call him Judge Sinis, he's someone you shouldn't mess with."
As soon as the eerie looking mayor got near the trio, he just stared at them, blankly. He first
looked towards Auri.
"Sheriff Auri." He said in a deep voice.
"Hello sir..." He responded, quietly.
Judge Sinis then proceeded to look at Meggy with no emotion at all. Chills were running through her body, fearing the uncanny nature of this new mayor. Lastly, he looked at Mario, who was just cross eyed. He was looking at Mario the longest out of the three, which made Meggy especially concerned.
The eerie judge then took out a crumpled paper right out of his pocket, and hold it side by side in front of him looking at it, and Mario. On the paper was a wanted poster, on it was a familiar figure, looking just like Mario! Same cap with an M on it, Same Overalls, and even Same mustache! He then looked back at Mario, and gave his eerie smile at him, Making Mario feel unsafe of the situation. 
"Sheriff Auri." He said emotionless.
"Y-yes?"
"Lock him up."
"What?"
"Lock. him. up."
"But sir I-"
"I said lock him up!" He demanded with an angry tone, "Do you understand, Auri!"
Auri's eyes dilated in fear "Yes sir..."
 Auri then looked regretfully at Mario knowing that he didn't do anything, but he had to do what he was told to do.
"I'm sorry Mario," He said, regretfully, "It's my duty..."
