SMG4 Stories: The Return To Port Aurora

Chapter 11: I scream, You scream

    "One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock, rock. Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, rock. Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, rock! We're Gonna Rock! Around! The clock tonight!"
It was late in the evening, Meggy, Auri, and Mario walked inside a big Ice Cream shop for a bite. The shop was holding an event for the 201 anniversary of Port Aurora, as it gets closer and closer by the day of the official anniversary. The music was popping, all of the people, and aura boras' alike were having a good time eating their ice cream and dancing to the music. The band were rocking and rolling with the song they were playing
As they walked passed them, Meggy noticed how familiar the band looks, although they do look very different. The first 4 were like humanoid robots who play different musical instruments, having identical body shape, and features, despite of this, they wore similar hipster like clothing's, just with different color's to remove the confusion of whose who, They also have different black hair wigs they would wear from the eras of the 80s or 70s.
There's one member who stood out from all of them. They were short, and very much is an actual potato who lead sings, he wore clothing's very similar to those of what Elvis Presley would wear back then, and wearing a dirty, yellow paper mache hat, which looks like its been worn out from so much use.
Meggy continued to follow Mario and Auri as they walked through the big dance floor filled with dancer's, and reaching a table to sit on. They were there just in time to be greeted by a waiter, holding 3 big menu's for them.
"What would you kids like in this fine evening?" He said to them with a french accent, as he gives them their menus.
They all opened up their given menu's and chosen what ice cream they wanted.
"I'll take the chocolate, Vanilla sundae with sprinkles." Said Meggy.
"And I'll take the vanilla milkshake please." Auri then followed.
"And you sir?" Asked the waiter to Mario, "What would you like?"
Mario was feeling overwhelmed from how much they had from the menu, He wasn't so sure on what to choose at first, but once he spotted the biggest ice cream he ever saw from the picture,  he then showed it to the waiter.
"I'll take'a this!" He said to him with excitement.
"Ah, the Multi-Ice Cream Supreme." Said the waiter, as he wrote the orders on his small notepad, "I'll be back with your orders." He said to them, took their menu's and walked away.
"Gee, Mario!" Auri said, laughing a little, "Are you really able to handle the Multi-Ice cream supreme!" 
"Why'a yeeees." Said Mario in a cherry tone of voice, "What can'a go wrong with the biggest bowl of'a Ice cream?"
"Heh, I don't know, a brain freeze?"
Mario and Auri laughed, as Meggy giggled quietly.
Soon enough, their orders of, Chocolate Sundae, Vanilla milkshake, and Multi-Ice Cream Supreme have arrived on the plate with the same waiter coming out to give them.
"Here you go kids, enjoy your frozen treats!" He said to them, as he placed their stuff on the table, and walked off.
"Thanks!" Said Auri, "Well gang, Lets eat up!"
 And so the 3 started to dig in their frozen treats without a care in a world.
Meggy ate her sundae, Auri drank his milkshake, and as for Mario, he ate his ice cream in one gulp! Along with the bowl too!
"AGH! AHAHAHAHA!" He screamed, obviously getting a brain freeze.
"Brain freeze Mario?" Meggy said with sarcasm, "You know, if you'd didn't ate it in one gulp you wouldn't have gotten one."
Mario has now literally became an ice cube, looking like a found frozen prehistoric animals.
"Oh boy, He's all ice cubed again." She said, laughing.
"Does this always happen when it comes to Ice cream?" Asked Auri.
"All the time," She responded, "But he just never learns what." 
"Well then." He said, and drank a little more of his Vanilla milkshake.
"So, when did you guys met?"
Meggy paused for a second with a spoon full of Ice cream.
"When we met?"
"Yeah, when did you guys met?" 
"Heh, well it's a long story actually," She then puts the spoon full of ice cream down onto her sundae, "It was a long time ago, I was trapped inside of a paint bucket by someone, I thought it was him who put me there but turns out it wasn't. Once I got out, I told him to scram, and I ran of to my Splatfest practice. But for whatever reason he found me, And he won't leave me be, even after I told him to scram! Then one of our team member had an injury, and Mario was there to help fill the spot for him. I teach him how to use a Splat gun, showed him the ways of turf wars... And he perfectly fitted well in the team. Yeah he was an annoyance at times but, he always crack me up with his stupid wisdom's. Then when it came time to the Splatfest... I have never seen such skills he had. Mario's skills are just out from the ordinary! He can jump high, rain ink everywhere by just spinning around, he even stomped on the enemy team's Kraken special with ease!"
"Wow!" Said Auri in amazement, "Did you won the Splatfest!" He asked.
Meggy sighed, "No sadly, we haven't. I was devastated when we lost, all that practice... The hard work... It all shambled in front of my eyes." Meggy quickly wiped her eyes before continuing.  "But, Mario, came up to me, and he said to me something I won't ever forget."
"What did he say?.."
"..'No matter how much spaghetti you eat, there will always be meatball left over.' I don't know why, but I find a hidden meaning behind his dumb quote. Like at the end, It's the small things that's worth than just something bigger. You know what I'm saying?"
"I think so." Auri said, as he finished his milkshake. "So... What's he like to you?"
Meggy froze from the question he asked, "Well," She said, "I honestly don't know actually... He's annoying, very stupid at times... But he's good hearted, and never left my side... I find him as a-" Before she could even answer,  Mario finally broke free from his ice cube prison.
"Oooh, Mario's brain has gone a coo coo crazy," He said, feeling a bit dizzy, "Whats'a we talking about again?" He then asked.
Meggy and Auri just laughed, "Oh Mario." Laughed Meggy.
Auri then placed the bills to cover up the Ice Cream they had.
"Alright guys," He said, "Ready to head back home?"
"Hell yeah!" Shouted Mario, "Mario's getting a little tired now." He added.
"Yeah, me too." Also said Meggy.
And so, the 3 got up from their tables, and started walking towards the exit. Unexpectedly, Auri paused, making Mario and Meggy tumble over.
"What's wrong Auri?" Asked Meggy.
They then looked up as the music stopped playing, and the dancer's stopped dancing. It was him again, Judge Sinis, coming in unannounced. He then slowly walked in with his cane supporting him, eerie as usual. He then walked towards the waiter who is holding a tray of ice cream on his hand. Judge Sinis then pulled out the wanted picture of Mario out of his pockets.
"Have you seen this man?" He asked him, calmly.
"U-uh, yes?" Replied the waiter in fear, "He's  with 2 other people." He added.
The uncanny judge smiled, and puts the wanted picture back into his pocket. He then went to the dance floor, and got up the stage with the band.
"May I see that microphone please?" He asked the Elvis like potato impersonator.
"Uh, yeah." Said the Elvis Potato, and gave him the microphone.
The judge then tapped on the microphone, making sure it works.
"I am looking for a madman." He said, causing everyone in the building to gasp in fear, and gossip over each other.
He pulled out the wanted picture of Mario again, showing it to everyone, getting goosebumps.
"This madman has escaped his jail cell again, and now he's here in this exact building!" everyone in the ice cream show were now scared for there lives!
 "I don't know where exact, but if you find him, bring him to me!" He ordered to everyone.
Then everyone started searching for Mario, as Judge Sinis gave the microphone back to the Elvis potato, and walking off again.
"Uh oh!" Said Auri in fear, "Come on guys! we're not safe here anymore!" He told to them.
"Aw great! Just what we needed." Said Meggy, who is getting pretty tired of more problems appearing out of nowhere.
"Follow me, I know an exit!" He said.
So Mario and Meggy followed Auri through as they hid behind trash cans and vending machines so they wouldn't get caught by anyone. They sneaked through tables, under legs of the people, and passing through rooms to rooms.
"I didn't knew that this Ice Cream shop would be this big!" Whispered Meggy.
"Tell me about it." Auri responded back.
 Finally, after several sneaking through, they've made it to the back exit of the shop. Auri carefully opened the metal door for them.
"Come on guys this way!"
They all quickly got out, until someone spotted them!
"HEY!" Screamed a person, "You're coming with me!" They started to run straight at them in full speed! 
Auri was quick to slam the door hard shut, making the person from the other side bump their head against the metal door, and screamed in pain.
"Phew! that was a close one!" Said Meggy in shock.
"Mario thinks its'a about time we get out'a of here." Said Mario in a fearful tone.
"Yeah, come on guys," Said Auri, "lets quickly get back home." 
And so, the trio walked down the ally way of the Ice Cream shop, trying to hide within the shadows as possible. Here in the ally way, there were some lit up trash cans with homeless people near it, trying to heat up for the night. The ally was filled with smoke, with wet rocky paths, and some puddles here and there. There were other people who weren't homeless that wore dark black hoodies standing against the wall, some people who are playing poker on their small tables and chairs, and people who were just sitting on the floor, lifelessly.
It was pretty much ghetto in this area, they all try not to make any eye contact with the people around here.
"M-Mario doesn't like it here." Whimpered Mario in fear.
"Don't worry," Said Auri, "As long we're together, nothing will hurt us." He said, calming him down a bit.
As they kept walking down, Meggy unexpectedly heard two voices coming from the other path of the ally. She and walked away from Mario and Auri, and went to the left side of the pathway, and started ease dropping.
"Meggy?" Said Auri, "the path back home is this way."
"Shh, Listen!" 
Mario and Auri were confused, but they ran towards Meggy was at, and ease dropped with her too. They could hear a fainted conversation coming from that side.
"Are you sure these boxes are enough for one trip?" Said a unsure voice that sounded weird. "Why of course." Said another voice that sounded like a record player being broken, "The more boxes we have, the best for the master plan of the boss to be complete! And if we do good, we might get a pay raise!" It added.
"I'm not so sure," Said the weird voice again, "I don't think these boxes are easy for us to carry down there."
"Oh I'm not carrying them, you are!"
"WHAT!"
"Yeah, your carrying them down their, while I sit on top of them like I rule the world!"
"Oh come on, won't you help me just a few boxes?"
"Ew no, that's to much work for your boy."
"But can we just do this tomorrow?"
"Ugh, fine. We can do it tomorrow morning if you really want to."
"Oh yay! thank you!"
"Yeah shut up, lets go." Then a loud metal gate closed loudly, and a lock was heard too.
Auri, Meggy, and Mario were in disbelief! They may have accidentally found the secret location of this mysterious criminal group! 
"That's it!" Said Auri, "That's where they're at!" He said with aggression.
"Alright! LETS SOME KICK ASS!" Screamed Mario.
"NO!" Shouted Meggy, "It's to late now, they already locked up their place for tonight." 
"But!" Started Auri, "They will be back in the morning they said." 
Auri then pondered about something for a few seconds, and finally thought up an idea.
"Alright guys, tomorrow morning, we'll catch some baddies! Again!"
