Regulus knew he would have to go see Sirius since he had seen his older cousin in his room hours ago.
He always went to his brother in times of stress. Knowing that Sirius would be there for him or set him straight if he needed it.

He had been avoiding Sirius since their small argument on the train but Sirius was family and one of the few people he trusted to tell, he could tell Evan and Barty but it wouldn't be the same. They didn't know the ins and outs of the Black family.

He made his way through the castle up from the dungeons. Regulus was surprised at how warm the castle was as he moved up the levels. Spring had set in, and the grounds were no longer a frigid wasteland. He had never liked the cold but he supposed he felt the most normal there, the spring and summer brought back the anxiety of returning home.

He whispered the password to the Fat lady and she let him through the portrait hole without any fuss. The Gryffindor common room was as he had imagined. Paper strewn across the table with mugs still sat there from earlier in the night, it was what a home e should have looked like. Although, Regulus never really did like all of the clutter, and the gaudy gold and crimson decorations.

It was nothing like the Slytherin common room, with its sleek silver and emerald decorations with its clean tables and shelves only used for items of necessity.

He made his way to the record player that was sitting by the window in the common room. Glad nobody was awake at the late hour. He ran his finger along the records in the small basket, they were mainly belonging to the girls and Sirius. But his two were mixed in as well, he made a mental note to spend more time with the girls, he would have to show them his newest record.

He snapped out of his little daze remembering what he had been there for, he climbed the stairs to the boy's dormitories, he ran his finger along the grooves in the cold stone.

The door opened slowly, without creaking. He didn't try to be silent as he made his way to the bed he knew belonged to his older brother.

The bed was distinctly marked with a mess of shirts and books thrown untidily by the side of the bed, along with a black leather jacket draped over the

He turned walking directly across the room to where he knew Lupin's bed to be. He opened the curtains bracing to see his brother in some sort of indecent position with The Lupin boy.

But, he was met, not with his brothers and his boyfriend, but with the confused face of James potter looking back up at him.

"Reg?" James asked squinting up at him.

"What are you doing?" James asked him, fumbling on the nightstand for his glasses.

"Nothing," Regulus replied shortly

"Where's my brother?" Regulus asked as James's finally found his glasses.

"He left," James said looking to the doorway. He was sure to have been up to some stupid practical joke that Regulus would hear about tomorrow. He sighed ad made his way to leave.

"Wait." James Asian reaching for his hand. Regulus withdrew quickly looking as if he had been burnt for the touch.

"We need to talk." James's said seriously

"We don't." Regulus said his face and voice emotionless.

"Regulus what happened that night'" James began before stopping u able the find the words. He shook his head.

"There's nothing to talk about." Regulus told him in a monotone voice.

"It wasn't that serious." He knew that would twist the knife a bit and he felt a small sense of pleasure knowing James might finally feel some of the hurt he had been feeling.
