-fluff-
Y/N set her bag down has she went to greet her coworkers. She had been working at the book store at the corner for about six months now, and she couldn't be happier. Y/N always loved books. They offered her a escape from reality and a peace of mind.

After clocking in, she started stock the books in the romance section. Granted, romance was never a favorite of hers-but she would never deny a good romance. She flipped over a book reading it's summary and hummed. "Looks good" she mumbled to herself placing it to the side to later buy.

She suddenly felt a small tap on her shoulder. She turned around to be faced with a tall boy wearing a grey turtle neck and khakis. She stared for a second before quickly asking, "oh-hello! Do you need help with anything?" she smiled politely.

The boy pushed his hair out of his face before speaking. "I have a school project and I-um do you happen to have any books about aquatic animals?" he said awkwardly. Y/N nodded and motioned him to follow her.

She ran her finger across various spines before stopping and pulling out three books and handing them to him. "Careful their heavy" She laughed softly. The boys nodded taking them for her hands.

"Thank you uhm-" he moved his head to check her name tag, which was decorated with small stickers. "Y/N... pretty name" He hummed and walked away, leaving Y/N a flustered mess.

"My name is pretty?" she said looking at her name tag herself.

A week later Y/N was working the register. It was a slow day that day but that gave her more time to think about the boy wearing a turtle neck. She couldn't stop thinking about the small smile he had. His black hair that perfectly framed his face.

Suddenly hearing the door open, she snapped out of her daydream. Her eyes widened as she realized who it was. Turtle neck boy. She straighten her posture quickly and pretended to be occupied, while she secretly watched him walk the different isles of books.

She watched has he suddenly stopped and crouched down. 'Romance...oh that's adorable' she thought. He suddenly grabbed a book and watched to the register.

"So we meet again, Y/N" The boys says leaning on the counter slightly handed her the book to scan. Y/N smiled sheepishly, "I guess so" she spoke quietly.

"I realized I kinda ran off on you that day and I didn't introduce myself" he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck before offering his hand. "I'm Kyungmin" he said. Y/N's heart almost stopped. Kyungmin, a named that really suited him. It made such perfect sense to her she couldn't help but feel stupid for thinking of the past names she thought could have been his.

Y/N shook Kyungmin's hand. "Nice too meet you,  Kyungmin" She smiled and quickly scanned the book he picked out and carefully wrapped it and placed it in a brown paper bag. "That'll be twelve dollars and sixty cents" she looked at the computer before, grabbing the twenty Kyungmin was holding out to her. Handing him his change back he quickly dropped it in the tips jar.

"Thank you" she smiled at him. He smiled back and turned to leave, and just like that the boy was gone once again. Y/N bit her lip, cursing herself for not grabbing his number or at least an instagram.

A few days passed, the door was opened once again revealing Kyungmin. Y/N was busy hiding behind shelves looking for a certain book for herself. Kyungmin came in looking for a certain girl.

After awhile, He found her quietly reading and listening to music in an isolated corner of the store. He sat next to her on the floor and took an earbud and placed it into his ear, placing his chin slightly on her shoulder to see what she was reading.

"Interesting" he whispered worried about ruining the peaceful environment she had created. Y/N only nodded silently and shifted so they could both read the book. "I've been waiting for this one to come out, the shipment took ages" she said closing the book and looking at Kyungmin. Wearing that damn turtle neck again.

"Do you need help finding anything?" she sighed getting up. Kyungmin shook his head, "nah, I already found what I was looking for" he smiled. Y/N looked confused, "I was looking for you, dummy" Kyungmin said. 'Wow this fake confidence might work' he thought.

"oh-I um" Y/N stammered, flustered by his flirting. "Do you wanna go get lunch during your break maybe?" he said whatever 'confidence' he had before was now gone. Previously, he had thought about asking but backed out last minute fearing rejection.

Y/N checked her watch and nodded. "Yeah of course" she smiled putting the book she was reading back in her bag. "I'm off in twenty...do you wanna meet up?" she questioned. Kyungmin nodded before giving her the directions to a cafe not too far from the store.

Safe to say, Kyungmin asking her to lunch was the best idea he's had in awhile. He had learned that she was a student at an all girls school, she had a cat named Mochi, and she loved chai lattes.

Y/N was over the moon. Kyungmin walked her back to the store, while walking he was telling stories from him childhood. "Yeah my mom hates rodents now" He laughed as Y/N covered her mouth gasping for air. "Oh that poor hamster" she said finally regaining her breath.

Once they made it too the door they stopped. "Thank you for this I enjoyed it...a lot" Y/N said. Kyungmin nodded grabbing her hand, "thank you for agreeing to come" he said. They stood in a silent waiting for the other to speak, suddenly   Y/N placed a small kiss to Kyungmins cheek.

"I have to go now...thank you again!" She smiled wide and ran back into the store. She made it to the back room and grabbed her apron. "Whats got you so giggly" her coworker asked. "Oh um nothing, just excited to work!" she said putting on her name tag and apron.

Ever since that day, Kyungmin and Y/N had a routine. Kyungmin would pick up a chai latte and a coffee and walk to the bookstore to see Y/N. "Ya know you really don't have to buy me a drink everyday" Y/N sighed taking a sip. Kyungmin laughed patting her head, "ahhh yeah I don't have to, but I want too and it's my money so don't worry" he said helping put away books with her.

She grabbed the pile of books from Kyungmins hands. "Okay fine, but you don't need to be doing my job either!" she said putting the books away. "Volunteer work. Simple. " Kyungmin smirked grabbing more books to put away.

Y/N rolled her eyes, "haha you're so funny Minnie." she said grabbing the books from his hands once again. Kyungmin sighed and then he had a great idea. He needed a job anyways.

The next day, Y/N clocked in and was met with Kyungmin standing behind the cash register with an apron and a shiny new name tag attached to his turtle neck. "Hello! Can I help you find anything?" he said with a smile.

Y/N gasped with surprise, "you did not-" she started. "Oh, but I did" Kyungmin said sliding over the counter and hugging her tightly. "We are coworkers!" he said excitedly. She laughed looked at him in disbelief.

"Oh! Also, I thought you should read this" he handed her a bag. Y/N opened it and pulled out the book, it was the romance book Kyungmin had bought. "Open the cover" Kyungmin said nervously.

'Be mine?
Love, Kyungmin'

Was written in the cover pages in his messy handwriting. Y/N smiled and nodded, "Of course I'll be yours" she said leaning in and kissing Kyungmin softly.

"GET TO WORK!" their boss yelled from the back room. Ruining the moment of course but both the teenagers couldn't have cared less. "I love the turtle neck by the way" Y/N said fixing Kyungmins crooked name tag. He laughed and dragged her to go work.  Who knew a dusty old bookstore on the corner could've blossomed so much love.
