Y/N sat in a dressing room pressing her face softly with the old compact. She sprayed herself with the perfume he bought her. It was cheap, but they were young and he always complimented it. Y/N looked to beaten polaroid taped to the mirror- stained, corners peeling from age. Had it been so long? Sighing, she grabbed her dark leather jacket and took another look at herself in the mirror. Y/N's hair was now shorter, lighter, her complexion had paled. Y/N's thoughts were caught off hearing girlish giggles in the hallway and the ruffling of a dress.
Y/N looked out the small foggy window to see old relatives, Myunghos mother and father joined arms walking together into the small chapel. Her boss knocked on the door frame. "Hey rockstar, you watching the ceremony?" he asked in his deep vegas accent, Y/N weakly smiled a nodded. Exiting the small room into the dark narrow hallway, she saw the tall figured of what could only have been Myungho and his friends. "Y/N?" a voice called from the figures. Hums of confusion and a small gasp was heard. Y/N quickly pushed herself back into the room and slammed the door shut listening for the footsteps to leave.
church bells rung as Y/N sat in the very back. The bride walked slowly down the isle, her dress made of tulle swallowing her small body whole. The chapel Y/N worked at was nothing fancy by any means. Hell, they had a Elvis impersonator marrying them. Myungho stood at the alter, his tie hung loose from his neck as Minho patted his back as he watching his fiancé walk down the isle. However, he wasn't looking at her at all. He focused on one person.
Y/N, Myungho couldn't breathe. She was there, of course she was he picked this shitty place for a reason. If it was Y/N it that ugly dress and bright red lipstick he knew was gonna stain his lips, he would've dressed up more, stood of straighter, find the best venue to wed them. But it wasn't her, she was there and that was enough. Myungho looked softly into her stone cold face. She sat silently through the vows, the "I do's" that was forced from myunghos lips. Yungyu held his giggle from the Elvis officiant. Y/N smiled as the boys looked to her giving her pity smiles. 'This isn't you but we wish it was!' written all over their faces.
Before they could kiss, Y/N left the room from a small door, carful to not make any noise. Cheers could be heard as Y/N eyes watered. She played with the small gum ball machine ring on her finger. Her mind flashed, the two in a old bowling alley playing with the machines.
"Y/N come here!" Myungho said hiding something behind his back. "If it's another stuff animal we aren't bringing it home- what are you doing?" she said watching Myungho giggle and get down on one knee presenting the obviously fake diamond ring. "Will you, Y/N L/N- marry me?" he said with a cheesy smile. Y/N gasped and fanned the nonexistent tears, "Yes! Yes- oh my god" she said pretending to sob. Myungho slid the ring onto her finger and hugged her tight pressing a long kiss to her lips.
"You're here" A voice snapped Y/N out of her memory. Myungho stood in front of her stiffly, she let out a small laugh and wiped her nose with the back of her hand. "Of course I am genius. I work here" Myungho let out a small "oh" she nodded before walking past him to check her makeup. After all, She is the wedding singer.
Y/N stood on the small stage, tables filled with immediate family and friends only. Y/N starting singing the list she had remembered that were requested. 'Now or Never' by Elvis being one of them funny enough. Singing softly, as the old stereos buzzed with the instruments behind her. She watched Myungho and his cupcake of a bride dance. A tear silently escaping down her face, the song felt almost mocking too her. Everything about this felt like one big revenge plan on Myunghos part.
The end of the night neared, people had left. Kyungmin was asleep on his bunched up jacket. Haemin was on his fifth cup of whatever was being served. The rest watching Y/N with mournful faces as she finished the last song. Myungho and Cupcake-that's what Y/N's been referring too her as- headed for the exit to leave. Myungho stumbled, looking to the stage one last time. Soaking up the last he would see of her. He smile weakly, and forced himself out of the room before he changed his mind.
Y/N stepped off the stage, walking out of the building sitting on the curb as their family waved newly weds off. The car decorated poorly with "Newly Weds" written on the side in a messy pink paint. "I'm sorry" a voice was heard a jacket placed above her shoulders. "Yoonsung I don't need your pity. We've been broken up for awhile" Y/N huffed shrugging his jacket off. "Yeah, but you're still allowed to be upset you know?" he said sitting beside her on the curb. Y/N shook her head and sighed, "He can say that he loves her as long as it's a lie" Y/N said before getting up and heading to her car. Myungho sat next to his now wife and smiled, kissing her cheek softly.
It was always a lie for him.
