Snow On the Beach

Haemin took a breath as he held his jacket closer to him. Maybe he should've thought of wearing more layers after all, it was December. He smiled to himself as he saw a familiar figure in front of him. "Y/N!" he called out, making the figure turn around. Y/N scrunched her eyebrows looking for Haemin, a wide smile coming to her face as she caught his eye. 

She took fast steps careful to not trip or bump into the group of tourists in front of her. Her pace picking up as they both neared each other. "Haem!" she yelled, basically throwing herself into his arms for a hug. Haemin smiled and kissed the side of her temple before pulling away to get a good look at her face. Y/N smiled adjusting the knitted hat she wore, "wanna grab a coffee?" she said holding her hand out for Haemin to take.

 Haemin was never a big fan of coffee, but he knew her offer usually meant a hot chocolate for him, coffee for Y/N, and a some pastry for them to share. This ritual sort of started a couple weeks into them dating, Haemin blushed ordering a hot chocolate for the first time in front of Y/N, feeling childish being 19 years old and still hating the taste of coffee. However, she only smiled and from then on made sure he always got a hot chocolate, no whipped cream. 

"How's the album coming mr. idol?" Y/N said, handing him his hot chocolate as they went to sit down. He snorted and shrugged, "slow, stressful, the norm" he said taking a sip. Y/N shrugged off her jacket revealing the white knitted sweater she wore underneath. "No way" Haemin smiled, taking his jacket off too, revealing the cable knit sweater he wore underneath. "We match, oh god" Y/N covered her mouth to silence her laughs. "Great minds just think alike, pretty"  said, taking a bite of the croissant they got. 

Y/N blushed at the name, "pretty." Though they had been dating for a couple months, the name still gave her butterflies. She has previously asked Haemin why out of all names he chose that one. He usually replied with the same answer of "because you're the prettiest girl I have ever seen" with a small curve falling on his lips at the sight of you immediately becoming flustered. Haemin let out a small hum, snapping Y/N out of her thoughts. "Are you feeling okay? Your cheeks look a bit warm" Haemin said, reaching over the table pressing his warn palm to Y/N's cheeks and forehead. Y/N smiled grabbing his hand before he made her blush even more, "I'm find Haem, thank you." she said, pressing a small kiss to the back of his hand.

A short while after, the couple decided to go on a walk to the local beach the wasn't too far from the cafe. They held hands as they strolled through the frozen sand, Haemin letting out a huff trying to keep his body temperature up. Y/N smiled looking up to the tall boy, "Cold?" Haemin rolled his eyes and nodded slightly. "I'm surprised you aren't" He said gripping tighter onto Y/N's gloved hand for more warmth. 

Y/N stopped in her tracks turning to Haemin. She started unraveling the blue scarf she wore however, Haemin stopped her. "I dont want you cold-" Y/N tsked in annoyance, she wrapped the scarf around Haemin making sure it was snug but not uncomfortable. "You obviously need it more than I do, I dont want you sick" she said, smiling as Haemins previous shivering had calmed. Y/N grabbed his hand again making sure to hold tight so her warmth could equally be shared. 

My smile is like I won a contest

Y/N squinted spotting something flow down onto the dark blue scarf Haemin wore. "Haemin wait." she stopped him once more taking a closer look observing what seem to be a snowflake. A tiny gasp could be heard as she looked up to dozens on small flurries falling around them. The waves of the beach drew calm as Y/N watched the water. "I've never seen it snow at a beach before" Haemin said, equally as amazed. Y/N walked closer to the shore bewildered with the sight in front of her. However, Haemins feet couldn't seem to move.

But its comin' down, no sound , its all around 

He watched as the wind blew harshly causing you to stumble lightly but quickly laughing it off to catch more snow in your hand. Haemin stood with his mind clouded with thoughts that only consisted of you, and his love for you. Love? Haemin thought this over many times with himself almost losing every internal battle with himself to work up the confidence to say three words. The feeling bubbled in Haemins chest as he watched you smile and play with the new found snow and sand on the ground. "Haem! Come look at this" You called him over excitedly, he let out a breathe before walking over. 

Haemin smiled wide as he looked at the small hearts with your initials put together in the sand. He quickly took his phone out snapping a photo, "How adorable" he said, Y/N blushed letting out a small laugh. Looking up, she looked at his face, His nose and cheeks held a pink hue from the cold wind. His eyes looked bright, matching the big smile he held on his face.

"What's got you so happy?" Y/N said pinching his side lightly, while keeping your eyes trained on the small waves that crashed in front of you. Haemin shrugged slightly looking to you, "being with you, it just make me happy, pretty." he said, she tried to fight the big smile that was forming. "Being with you makes me really happy too, Haem." you said squeezing his hand slightly. 

Haemin stayed quiet for a second, "I love you." Y/N ears rung at the words. Y/N turned looking into Haemins eyes, "you love me?" she could barely get out above a whisper. Haemin nodded pulling Y/N close, "I love you more than you could ever know" he said pressing a light kiss to her cold cheek.

Tears threatened to fall from Y/N's eyes as she took in Haemins words. "What's wrong?" he asked, suddenly worrying his words came too early. Y/N smiled shaking her head, "Nothing, nothing could be wrong. I love you so much." she said nearly laughing at the cheesiness of the moment. Haemin let out a breath of relief at her words along with a short laugh. Y/N stood on her toes trying to reach haemins height. She cupped his cheeks softly, before placing her lips on his. Pulling away Haemin felt as if he could walk on clouds.

Haemin smiled, lightly brushing off the snow that had fallen into Y/N's hair before peppering more kissed across her face, whispering small "I love you's" between each kiss. Y/N laughed turning away, her body felt warm despite the coldness of the weather around them. Haemin laughed grabbing her hand once more, "ready to go home? I'm freezing my ass off" Haemin said walking towards the car. Y/N laughed and nodded, "let's go warm you up so you don't get a cold" she said rolling her eyes.
