"What?!"

"ME sir," his secretary told him.

"M Enterprises is backing out from the bidding Sir."

Marahan akong napatago likod ng folder na hawak hawak ko habang nasa meeting kaming tatlo. Sumilip ako ng onti at deretsa akong tinamaan ng mga masasamang tingin ni Mr. Teradactyl.

"I mean... It's not our loss," I commented at umayos ng upo.

"Ms. Alcantara!"

Ganto kasi nangyare ok? I was having a meeting with each of the companies. I successfully got a meeting schedule from their CEOs, everything went really well except the second to the last meeting.

I was told to meet their CEO at a very familiar cuisine. Kung una palang naisip ko na yon iba nalang sana pinapunta ko, but everything is over. Nangyare na ang dapat mangyare. Only if I knew Morgan Incorporated was rebooted and rebranded into M Enterprises hindi kona sana talaga tinuloy.

Pagpasok ko the server lead us to the table the other party booked. Marami ang nagbago sa Garcia's Cuisine and this the branch nearby the M Enterprises. Well I kinda visited almost all of their branches before just to have lunch.

While waiting they took my order and since I hadn't eaten anything yet since this morning I ordered a full course meal. While waiting I busied myself with my phone. I also received a message from the company na medyo malelate ang boss nila because he's still in a meeting. I replied I can wait since my next meeting will be at three pm and that's the last one.

Good thing cause I will still be able to eat before he arrives. A few moments later my food was already served. A message from Patricio who's still awake at twelve there in Seattle suddenly popped up.

"What are you doing? Still in the meeting eh?" The message said.

"I'm having my lunch before dumating yung kameeting ko." I replied while I'm eating. I even sent him a picture.

"Is that a date?"

Natawa naman ako so I called him and put on my airpods.

"Hey, asleep?" I asked him saka ko ipinatong ang phone ko sa baso ng tubig.

"Not really."

"It's past midnight," I told him.

"Yeah, actually I was trying to get sleep but I couldn't. I miss you I guess."

I chuckled.

"Can't get enough of me?" I asked again.

"Oh please stop. Goodnight-" he said and ended the call. Napailing nalang ako. He really hated it when I tease him. I kept my phone and proceeded to finishing my food when in the last two spoonful a person suddenly walked straight into my table at naupo.

"Apologies for the inconvenience-"

"It's ok I was also hav-"

I almost choked seeing him upclose once again. Pansin ko ring natigilan din s'ya nang tuluyan akong makilala.

"Y-"

"Finish your food first Ms. Alcantara-" he suddenly acted as if were just a mere business.
