"Mummy!"
I ran as fast as I could and carried him.
"Oh jeez Benjamin, I miss you sweetheart," I said gave him a kiss on his forehead.
"Com'on Mum two months ain't even that long," he boastfully said. Patricio waved at me while carrying their baggage.
"Man! Philippines is filthy!" He shouted as we got out of teh airport. Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa. Everyone mear us are looking at us.
"He meant very good, we lived in Seattle," I immediately explained to them. Hindi nalang nila pinansin. I pat Benjamin's head.
"You'll get yourself in trouble using slangs, who thought you little man?" I asked him.
"The man wearing Seattle tuxedo," kibit balikat nito. Napiling nalang ako.
"Idadamay mo pa ako. Let's go, your mummy and I have a lot of things to talk about," Patricio stated and I do agree. Umakbay ito sa'kin and I gladly accepted it as we went inside the cab.
"So what are your plans Mr. Dela Questa?" I asked him habang nasa cab kami nilingon naman nya ako.
"I'll probably open a pediatric clinic," he said and I just nodded. That's a good thing.
"How about me Mummy?"
Nagkatinginan kami ni Patricio.
"You'll be having a long vacation baby. I'll probably enroll you back next year pagbalik natin sa Seattle after my project ok?"
"But Mum-"
"We'll talk it put at home and he's going to explain everything clearly ok?" Bilin ko kay Benjamin. It toom him sometime before agreeing on the idea. Pagdating sa bahay itinabi muna ni Patricio yung mga gamit at naupo kami sa sofa.
"So you listen young man ok?"
Benjamin immediately nodded at him.
"Mummy and I decided that you should take a break for a while, remember the last time you almost collapsed at school?"
Yes... It was the reason I immediately demanded them to go here cause I can't leave my work or else I won't have anything to feed my son. Kapag andito atleast kampante ako.
"But that was just an accident. I just got tired com'on," he said and started stomping his feet at sinimangutan kami.
"We were not saying you won't be studying though, you'll be homeschooled for the meantime," I told him. Pero hindi nawala yung pagkasimangot nya.
"That's better, you can do whatever you want to do baby," Patrivio said and hugged him.
"But I want to have playmates. If I study at home, then I'll be lonely again."
"But you have us?" I said.
"Yup, and i can ask my sister and cousins to bring their children here so you can have playmates."
"You'll do that?" He asks Patricio.
"Of course I will," he said that made him stop frowning.
"It's just for the meantime sweetheart, please understand ok?" Pakiusap ko sakanya. Hindi pa rin ganoon umayos ang mukha nya until sabihin ni Patricio na mamasyal sila paggising nya. Dali dali itong nahiga sa taas at natulog.
Sumandal naman ako sa balikat ni Pat at yumakap din sya sa'kin.
"You spoiled your child too much," he commented kaya napalingon ako sakanya.
