"Hello Benj? Yes, this is Uncle Fabio," he said. Pinagmasdan ko lang si Fab. He suddenly borrowed my phone. Kausap pa n'ya si Pat kanina. He apologized to the phone, but he also promised he would apologize again personally then he asked for Benj. Nilagay n'ya sa loud speaker.
"Benj can I borrow mummy for the meantime? Ihahatid ko s'ya medyo mga late na is that ok? Pwede ring hindi, d-don't be shy to tell me how you feel," he said na nautal pa bigla.
"Yes Uncle! Bring me pasalubong!" He screamed.
"I will, I will-"
"Hey don't spoil him," I immediately warned him.
"Come on Rowena, it's just a little treat," he whispered napailing nalang ako.
"What kind of pasalubong do you want?" He asks.
"Anything Uncle! Just next time sama nyoko! I miss you Uncle Fabio!" He laughed when he heard how excited he is.
"Ok ok, see you later" he said. Before he hanged the call narinig pa namin sa kabilang linya si Benj.
"Yes! Yes! I will meet my potential Dad again-"
Mabilis kong hinablot ang tawag at pinatay iyon. Fabio chuckled.
"Potential Dad huh?" Tanong nito.
"H-hindi ko tinuro sakanya yon," I said. Hindi konga alam saan nakuha ni Benjamin ang idea nayon.
"T-tara na sa labas. Baka magtaka na sila Ate Raki na hindi pa ako lumalabas-" I said at babangon na sana pero hinila n'ya ako pabalik sa higaan at yumakap s'ya.
"Hayaan mo sila. Matanda naman na tayo pareho," bulong nito at sumiksik nanaman sa leeg ko. Wala na akong nagawa kundi ang humiga din. Bumuntong hininga nalang ako at marahang tinapik tapik ang kamay n'ya.
"What kind of person is he...?" I was confused sa tanong n'ya.
"Benjamin's father... Was he kind to you? Does he hurt you? Did he take good care of you when you're pregnant? What kind of person is he?"
Hindi ako nakakibo. I don't understand why he wants to know.
"I just want to know if he treasured you like I did," he added. I gulped.
"I... I don't know his father. I-it was a party I attended when I was in college doon."

Hindi s'ya kumibo. Niyakap n'ya lang ako ng mahigpit.
"Then it must've been hard raising him alone..."
"Benj was kind... Pat is also there for us and his auntie, even Pete. They were my family there," I told him. That atleast would give him peace that his child was taken care of. I hope.
"Thats relieving to hear," he commented.
"How about you... How long have you been taking anxiety suppressants? Dahil ba... Dahil ba sa'kin?"
