"Sige na Ms. Alcantara. Sumali kana sa pakulo namin sa foundation day ng company. Pagbigyan nyo na kami," pakiusap ng isa sa mga employees. Kanina pa nila ako kinukulit para sa isang interview.
"Ano ba kasi yon?" Tanong ko sakanila habang nagaayos ako ng report.
"Umo-oo ka muna, para sure diba Sir Reuben?" Saad nito sa dumaan na secretary ni Mr. Morgan.
"They won't stop bothering you unless you say yes, been there," he just commented before leaving us.
"Fine fine, sige na sasali na, so ano nga yon? Please tell me, nakikinig ako," I informed them that even if I was focusing on my papers.
"Ganito yon Ma'am, the foundation day's theme was about a long lasting love. Ms. Fajardo thought about that. Other Departments may nga pakulong event sa mismong foundation day, ngarag yon for us since we're also busy on PUB 1 but each department needs to have an entry for a chance of winning 2 weeks vacation in a chosen places domestically or internationally. Sagot ng company lahat. We badly need that tignan nyo naman mga itsura namin?" Napalingon ako sakanila, sa conceptual department is really in a mess right now.
"Continue" I said
"So we decided to interview people about their long lasting love, documentary ganern. We already have Mr. Dindo Javier, Ma'am Raki's parents, Sir Luke Domingo, Sir Falco, and then lastly you," she added.
"Bakit ako? Bigatin mga nakuha nyo ah," I told them.
"Your story looks interesting Ma'am. I mean kilala po kayo ng mga Morgan, apparently, we looked for you on the internet and we saw an old photo of you with the Morgan siblings, magkatabi pa nga po kayo ni Sir Fabio," she explained. Napaisip naman ako.
"It will not be posted in the internet right?" Tanong ko sakanya.
"If you wish to, we can just show yours during the day of presentation, we will assure you nothing will go out of this company that is against your will."
"Then who am I to disappoint y'all? Just inform me when will the documentation be and where so I can clear my schedule," I told them. Napayes naman ang team leader nila at halos yakapin pa ako nang biglang may dumaan na masamang hangin at nagsialisan silang lahat.
"I need the darn digital presentation by tomorrow Angie! Tomorrow!" He yelled. Bahagya akong sumilip, napalingon ako ulit sa papel na hawak ko nang mapagtantong malapit na sya sa kinauupuan.
"Where the hell is Reuben?!"
"Ssob, aga aga init ng ulo ah," biglabg sulpot ni Reuben na may hawak ng kape at iniabot ito kay Mr. Morgan.
"Wala paba yung mga gamit?!"
"Chill, dadating sila by tomorrow."
Bigla nyang binitawan sa lamesa ko ang kape at may tumalsik pa sa'kin.
"We need to fvcking finish the product and the whole presentation in 5 darn days. I need the conceptual team to study the presentation really well, Willbert will be incharge in taking lead of the presentation, blah blah blah blah"
He started naming his employees telling them what to do. While I remain silent avoiding getting called because what the hell am I gonna do?!
"And you Ms. Alcantara!"
Napataas ang kilay ko when he called my name kaya binitawan ko ang hawak kong papel at nilingon ko sya.
