Nathan Kingston is my boyfriend. Nathan Kingston has been my boyfriend for the last two weeks. Nathan Kingston, my boyfriend is coming over on a Monday and there will be absolutely no tutoring involved.

Since he works so much and barely has any free time outside of Mondays and Wednesdays we switched tutoring to only one of the days and the other is just for us to hang out.

"Ivy! Your boyfriend is here!" Carolina screeches from her place on the couch, her little face almost pressed against the glass while she watches Nathan's motorcycle come to a stop in front of our house.

"I'm sitting right next to you, CJ. Go back to doing your multiplication, mom wants it done before she gets home." I point an accusatory finger at her unfinished homework and push myself up off of the couch, striding towards the door with a smile on my face.

I haven't seen him all weekend, I mean besides when Dylan and I got brunch at his restaurant yesterday morning. She was cracking pregnancy and marriage jokes the whole meal and saying stuff like, "you keep giving him baby-making eyes" and, "I bet he has the ring already with how he hasn't looked at anything else since we got here."

He gets one knock in before I swing the door open and practically pull him inside, giving him a chaste kiss in greeting before I step back and let him kick off his shoes.

"Hi." I grin up at him, "We can go up to my room in a little, I'm on babysitting duty until my mom gets home or my dad gets off his work call."

"Hi, Princess," he smiles back, "and that's cool, do you wanna watch a movie while we wait?"

"We just need to pick something Carolina hates. It's hard enough to get her to do her math homework without a distraction in the same room." I tell him, walking back into the living room.

He follows behind me, plopping down beside me on the couch and wrapping his arm around me to pull me closer to him.

"Hey, CJ. Are you almost done with your math homework?" Nathan asks in greeting.

"This homework is so stupid! Why do I have to know how many apples Sally gets in a week if she buys seven every day? What does that have to do with ballet?" She doesn't return his hello and gives the same rant to him that she gave to me half an hour ago.

"If you finish your math homework quickly I'll let you watch a movie with us until mom gets home." I offer, switching my tactics.

She taps her pencil against her chin, looking at me contemplatively, "what movie?"

"I'll let you pick," her face lights up and I point a finger at her, "but you have to go fast or we'll just pick a movie and watch it without you."

"Even Barbie Mermaid Tale?" She prompts, her hands on her hips.
