~Next Morning~
I made a paper airplane and tossed it at Tobias, who was doing sudoku.
He didn't even raise his head to look at me.
"Aurora, this is your eighth plane." He tossed it beneath the bed. I sighed.
"Well, I'm bored."
"Then do something."
"Should I go swimming?" I asked.
"Yeah, go for it," he said, not looking at me. I scoffed furiously.
I wanted him to offer to join me.
"There'll be a lot of shirtless men," I teased.
"None of their bodies can hold a candle to mine." He winked.
I was taken aback by his egocentric personality and here I thought I was alone.
"But, I'll be wearing a bikini!" I emphasised. He laughed.
"Are you trying to make me jealous?" He grinned. I coughed and stood up.
"N-no, why would I?"I stammered. He returned to his sudoku puzzle.
"Oh, I don't get jealous. So don't even bother." He laughed. I scoffed. I wasn't trying to make him jealous.. I was trying to make him understand that I was uncomfortable.
I dashed into the bathroom and changed into my bikini.
"Well, then, I'm off to the pool!" I yelled.
"Have fun!" He yelled. I let out a sigh. To be honest, there was no point.
I stormed out of our room and went straight to the pool. How could he?
Why couldn't he see that I wanted him to come with me?
The pool seemed to be fuller than usual today. My hands rushed to cover myself right away. I felt terribly uneasy, but I dipped my feet gingerly into the pool.
The cool water made me shiver. I uncomfortably waddled around the pool before diving in while holding my nose but all I could see were people's feet, so I got back up but as soon as I did my eyes met Tobias's gaze. He immediately ripped off his shirt and jumped into the pool. I dipped underwater and swam to the other end of the pool where there were the most people just to shake him off but to my despair he caught me by my waist.
"Hello, my beautiful mermaid." He grinned.
"God, You scared me!" I punched Tobias's naked chest. He chuckled and pulled me closer. I placed my palm on his chest to maintain some distance between us.
"Were you trying to hide from me?" He grinned.
"I tried."
"Well too bad. Now do you want to play water volleyball?" He asked.
Why should I go with him? I didn't want to go with him but he was grinning at me like a fool and I couldn't help but agree.
"Great. Let's go!" He dragged me to the other end of the pool.
Why do I allow him to do this to me?
We played with the other men for a bit, and let's just say I got whacked in the head most of the time and now I was in my nightgown, holding the ice to my head.
"I'm sorry." As he sat on the bed, he gave a sheepish smile.
I locked my gaze on him. He was the one who 'accidentally hit my head seven times'.
He seemed to do it on purpose. I bit him when he hugged me.
"OW OW.AURORA?!!"He massaged his shoulder and I grinned.
He hovered over me, pinning me to the bed. As I lay there astonished, my eyes widened. He pulled the ice pack from my grasp and placed it on my head softly.
I started to laugh weirdly , which made him look at me puzzled.
"It's ironic that you were the one who struck my head seven times and now you're the one putting ice on it." I muttered.
"I was aiming at the guy behind you, but every time you jumped up, it smacked your head."He sighed.
"Why were you aiming at the guy behind me?" I asked. He just gazed at me.
"He had his gaze fixed on your chest..."He replied as he averted his gaze.
I couldn't stop grinning.
"You're jealous! I'm sure you came to the pool because of that!" I yelled.
"NO, I'M PROTECTIVE, THAT'S DIFFERENT FROM JEALOUSY!" He yelled grumpily. I couldn't help but laugh. He covered my mouth with his palm.
He didn't even flinch when I tickled him.
"I'm not ticklish, sweetheart." He grinned. I hit him with the cushion next to me.
"THAT IS CHEATING!" He yelled.
"HAHA TOO BAD!!"I yelled and smacked him with the pillow.
We eventually got into a pillow fight until we both began to laugh till we were out of breath.
"You're adorable when you're jealous." I teased. He rolled on top of me.
"I'm not jealous."
"You are."
"No, I'm not."
"Totally not jealous..." I trailed my finger over his face, whispering. He tucked his head into the crook of my neck and put his arms around my waist.
"I hope no one sees me this way." He murmured and I laughed.
"Oh, you're so embarrassed to be such a big baby," I cooed. He burst out laughing.
"Imagine my subordinates. They would tease me for the rest of my life."
"Same honestly." As I leaned closer to him, I said.
"But I have to admit, I wanted to gouge the man's eyes out." He mumbled sleepily.
"Aww, you should've told me. I would have gouged it out myself."
"Wow, that got brutal quick."
"So you can gouge it out but I can't?"
"No, I meant how our nice talk escalated into ripping someone's eyes out."
"It's all because of me, honey." I winked.
"Honey, go to sleep." He mimicked me and I laughed.
"Goodnight," I whispered quietly.
"Sleep tight," he murmured.
"Don't let the...." I fell asleep, but I overheard him say.
"Bed bugs bite."
