~A year later~
~Aurora's pov~
"How about we go to a cafe today?" Tobias smiled. I raised my head from my computer.
"Why?" I asked. He shook his head.
"We haven't had a coffee date in a long time." He grinned.
I shut down my computer and rested my head on his lap.
"All right, when?"
"How about right now?" He kissed my lips.
"Well, what should I wear? I have no cute outfits," I grumbled.
"Wait a minute, let me go see if I have any of my sister's clothes here," he remarked before standing up and walking away. Meanwhile, I completed the remaining emails.
"All right! How does this look?" He stated this as he handed me a lovely floral sage green sundress. I was in awe.
"Are you sure your sister will be okay-"
"Don't be concerned about her. Go on, try it on!" He pushed me into the bathroom.
I put on the dress and was pretty shocked at how beautifully it fit, it was kind of suspicious.
I applied my trademark red lipstick and puffed up my long wavy brown hair.
"Are you all set?" He yelled.
"Yes!!"I walked out and was taken aback by him.
He was dressed in a full-sleeved white shirt and skinny black jeans.
His hair was slicked back, and he smiled like a Cheshire cat.
"Should we go, my lady?" He made me flush by pecking my hand.
I nodded at him, quite flustered. We drove over to a café, but it was the same cafe where we had met. Like that day, hearts were strewn about as we headed towards the cafe.I almost burst into tears from nostalgia. We both strolled into the empty cafe, which surprised me. Why was it so deserted?
There were hearts all over the place, which made me smile.
"Okay, ring the bell." When he dashed over to the counter and ducked, he said.
I rang the bell sheepishly, causing him to spring up with a taped-up heart on his chest.
"Do you remember the heart you ripped? You guessed it, I fixed it." He smiled.
I chuckled as I drew him over the counter by his collar and kissed him.
"Wait, I'm not finished yet..."He said this as he walked me to a table and sat me down before handing me a cup of strawberry espresso.
"Is it-"
"Yup, but I'm not going to bring out the strawberry liquor because I don't want Rouara to appear." He chuckled, prompting me to hit him.
When I picked up the teacup to sip from it, I noticed something gleaming beneath it.
That was an engagement ring...
I almost dropped my cup as I gasped. It was a gorgeous rose gold ring, very similar to our previous ring.
He took the ring and knelt in front of me.
"I'm still not sure what those magical-looking hearts were, but I suspect it was cupid.
I met you because of those hearts, and I'm grateful. So, Ms. Aurora Hart, will you marry me and make me the happiest guy on the planet?" He said with a bright smile.
My eyes welled up with tears, and I sobbed on his shoulder.
"YES, I WILL!"As I sobbed, I said.
As he drew me closer, he burst out laughing.
"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!"
We could hear people shrieking with party poppers all around us. When I looked up, I saw my mother, father, brothers, and Lyla. In addition to Anna, Harry, and Rowan, who were applauding and whistling at us. Tristan and Tara were hooting in the other corner, while their parents looked mortified at their children's antics.
"IF YOU HURT OUR SISTER, WE WILL TEAR YOU LIMB BY LIMB!" shouted my brothers, making me chuckle. Tobias kissed me before mumbling on my lips.
"I love you now and always. Regardless of how."
"I love you as well."
