She's Mine

~Unknown pov~

I was sitting at my desk, going through the submitted papers, when a bright yellow file landed on it. I raised my eyes to her.

Her seductive red lips and dark curls indicated it had to be her.

"I killed him and took the stolen information." She spoke so naturally.

"Well done, A.I had faith in you!" I replied as I handed her the cash bundle.

She grinned before approaching me and hugging me.

"You were the best captain I've ever had."

"Why are you now saying this?" I asked. Her hazel eyes twinkled with joy as she grinned.

"I'd like to resign, Pedro." She stated. I rose so quickly that the chair almost toppled back.

"But A, as our most experienced agent, you can't just-"

"Pedro, I'm sorry, but I've had enough. Hunting for criminals and everything. I want to concentrate on my career in the gaming company and possibly start a new life?"

Her cheeks were flushed as she smiled lovingly. Before hugging, I sighed.

"I'm going to miss you A, a lot." I muttered. She stroked my back.

"I'll miss you as well. You're welcome to come over whenever you like!" She chirped, which made me laugh.

"So, what are your plans for your new life?" I asked. She gave me her most devious grin.

"I'm meeting my husband's parents!"

~Tobias's pov~

When we arrived at the dock, a swarm of police officers surrounded the passengers and dragged them to safety. Several nurses patched and cleansed the passengers' flaws and wounds, but I did nothing. Still in shock, I sat on the ledge of the ambulance, wrapped in a blanket. I chuckled slightly, which made the nurse who was treating my elbow and palm look at me with concern.

"Are you okay, Sir?"

"Do I look alright?" I grimaced and laughed. She presumably closed her mouth to avoid additional questioning. I returned my gaze to the ambulance door, tears streaming down my cheeks. I'd lost her.

When she saw my teary eyes, the nurse became alarmed.

"Does it hurt a lot, Sir?" She asked. I fixed my gaze on her.

"It hurts...it hurts a lot," I sobbed.

Someone struck my head before the nurse could do anything. When I looked up, I saw my 27-year-old brother and 24-year-old sister.

"YOU IDIOT! WHY ON EARTH WERE YOU ON A CRUISE?!" Tristan screamed.

"Let me explain-"Tara smacked me again, her eyes welling up.

"You were gone for days, Tobias! Can you imagine how worried we were?" She shouted. I sniffled as I gazed at them both.

"Oh my gosh, I missed you both." I said before hugging them both.

"Mom and dad are going to kill you, Tobias." Tristan murmured in my ear.

"I know."

~Next day~

~Aurora's pov~

Birds chirped while my heels clacked on the pavement. A gentle breeze wafted across my hair. I couldn't stop grinning as I walked excitedly towards Tobias' house.

I cleared his name and made sure he kept his employment as a police officer. I felt so liberated not having to worry about anyone finding out who I was.
