Ch. 26.5; -Stop Running From Me-

Scaramouche. He always runs. Kazuha never got to learn why. Did he hate him? Or not? Did he want to run away? Did he have a plan? Or did he hate him to the brim. I, or anyone doesn't know. He laid his head down, looking at the sky. "Stop running from me." He mumbled, but was too tired to think about that part.

The fact he relived the same trauma 3 times.

Amd his now-lover never even tried to comfort him.

Especially this time.

Maybe he should of had listened to the voices, or not, but he didint care anymore. He just wanted rest. He woke up just to run away, not getting proper sleep. He lays his head down on the pillow in the tent, and closes his eyes.

He couldn't sleep for 2 hours straight.

With the raven, he was commanding the soldiers to move the robot's stand onto the big boat. The big robot was in pieces, they would construct it in Inazuma.

Their plan? He would create unusual activity to get the Celestial Kingdom to him. With the power of The Electro Crown. And, he would destroy his "beloved homeland." Norhing could repair it. It looked worse than any desert.

So might as well destroy it, eh?

He would take the boat, destroy what he wanted, escape before the machine explodes, get back to Kazuha. And how long would it take?

Weeks.

He couldn't leave Kazuha for that long. Could he? He decided to just finish the loading of the robot and get back to him.

Once he got back, if was already sunset. He opens the zipper to the tent, and sits carefully next to the sleeping male. The more he looked at him, the more his heart ached. What if he came with him? No, he cant know he is working with the Fatui.

He gives a soft kiss on the cheek, not finding it enough, a gentle peck on the lips. Then finally lays next to him. Scaramouche realizes the distressed look his lover had expressed, he stroked his back, played with his hair, and sang a melody he knew very well.

It was the melody of the robot when it would be fightning. Gotta be extra, you know? He spoke Latin perfectly, even better than the language he always speaks with everyone all over Tevyat.

Inazuma and Natlan were the only nations to still have it as a main language.

Liyue adopted Mandarin and left Latin behind not too long ago.

He didint complain about it. Less people would know.

Soon enough the albino's expression softens, he feels him snuggle against him, muttering a couple words. Ah, he was half awake. "Is that you.. mn.. my dove?" Scaramouche nods loud and clear, and ruffles his hair as a yes. "It's me, yeah, sleep darling. You need it. I'm right here, and will be when you wake up." Not long after the other falls into deep sleep once again.

He decided, he would take Kazuha with him to the mission. Just make him stay at the Fatui tent. He would confess tomorrow.

Tomorrow came, and the destruction noises were louder than ever. Both were quiet, but in a comforting way. "Kaz, can I talk to you about something?" The albino replies with a nod quite curious.

"I don't know how you'll feel about this. But I work with the Fatui. For the good. They made me stronger. And I can protect you, with that strengt-"

"You. What."

Scaramouche did expect that reaction. So he decided to stay calm, Kazuha was a person to need explanations before judging fully.
And oh my was he grateful for that.

"I joined it when I was giving up. They gave me strength, power, in exchange to give them the Crowns. But look, my plan is to betray them. I have the Electro Crown right now and.. I'll make sure to not let Celestial Kingdom come again."

"How so?"

"I'm going to Inazuma. With the help of Sumerian Scholars. They made a device I'll show you later. But my plan is to make you look like you are with me in that device, and make it explode in front of them so it looks like it exploded. The Crown will automatically drop to me when I'm fleeing the robot."

"I understand-"

"I can't really blame you. You only wanted good..

"I.. guess."

"Can't we go to the Sacred Forest..? You know, with the 2 Knights that fell down there and.."

"I want all 3 of us to be safe. Speaking of which, Heizou, he is fine. He just needs time to find our place."

"Okay. But can't i help atleast?"

"If I die, I have to make sure I die with you being safe."

"..."

They sat in silence. Kazuha overthinking it. He wanted the shard, it would fix everything. But getting it? A whole different story.
