Ch. 29; -First Glance-

Fuck it I'm starting the one-shot book now im having too many ideas

The boat arrived to the shore of the cursed island, hitting the sand softly. The anchor dropped in a second from how shallow the water was, but it was to make sure it wouldn't get sweeped away. The storm was strong, making the waves harsh and big enough that a small boat would get swallowed by the deep sea in mere seconds.

"Here we are.." Heizou says. Raising his arms up. "Welcome to this cursed hell of an island!" Kazuha, watching from the boat, climbs down carefully next to the detective looking up ahead. "Guess we should.. walk around a bit and find a suitable camp place first. Then get the tents and.. you know." The other nods and walks forward slowly.

The prince watches his friend take the first steps as he, himself, was staying behind. He looks back up to the boat then the forest up ahead. He takes his weapon out and follows quickly behind the detective.

They decide on a small place that was both near the sea and a fruit tree with mountains covering their back, it was also kinda high so in case high tide comes they would be safe. They go back, get the supplies, and make the camp.

They got one large tent since 2 tents would be slightly more visible even tho one person tent would be smaller. In any case, they had extra room in the tent and that was good, their backpacks weren't too big and they put them there.

"Alright the book says the lavender melons are safe to eat, and the fish are quite safe too." He reads out loud. Kazuhs nods and makes a small campfire in front of the tent. They could use wood from fallen trees, and that was everywhere.

After that they cooked some fish they catched on the boat, and added them to a thin stick with some veggies they got from their backpack.

"Quite peaceful for now.. there's a lot of crows." The detective remarks, looking up at the forest behind them, then the mountains. "Yeah. Guess so. Can you take out your map? I feel like we could use the mountain behind us as navigation." Heizou nods and goes into the tent as Kazuha flips over the fish so it cooks on the other side.

The detective comes back with the map of Hayoku Forest. He points to a small red dot. "That's us. And from what I know the forest is all the way on the other side of this mountain behind us, and covered by trees. The hard part is what awaits to get there. The further we go the more challenging it gets." The other nods taking the fish skewers off the cooking place on top of the campfire and hands one to Heizou.

"So.. we going which way? Left or right." Heizou looks at the map for a moment. "On the map looks like the forest is more on the left side. Tho the storm is a little harsher there." Kazuha nods. What if the map was a lie? Heizou himself said it would take no less than a week if they are lucky. And they wouldn't find the forest till then.

"Let's just start our way tomorrow. We need good rest after that long trip." Heizou agrees and thanks for the food, goes into the the tent instantly and falls asleep.

Kazuha on the other hand stares at the sky and wonders, will they get out alive? Will he see Scaramouche again? He promised to come back, he knew he had to. But if he didint.. maybe just maybe he should start a diary. To write the stories that happend here. He gets out his small notebook he usually wrote poems in, and starts it.

Day: 1

Me and Heizou arrived safely, the spot we chose is safe from monsters and we are close to the sea and a fruit tree. We can get both fruits and fish from here. Tho we start our way tomorrow. We will be going by the left side. Our boat is anchored near to the shore, so it won't get sweeped away.

It's quite peaceful in this spot. I like it. Though the amount of growls and crow sounds I hear is creeping me out. What kind of monsters are there I wonder?

This is Day one for now, I hope everything goes well.

He closes his book and puts it in its place, he lays down on his own pillow and listens to the sounds.

Coming to think about it the voices stopped since he was away from Liyue. Tho it was in Inazuma too. Maybe his suspicions were correct. But if the voices were smart to inform him.. wouldn't they know he would be coming back?

GUYS I GOT A 100 ON THE MATH TEST I'm dying my ear hurts I GOT A HARD INFECTION this is not ok I MADE MY FRIEND FAIL BC I DIDINT COME WHEN IT WAS ENGLISH EXAM (she copies off me on everything especially english) HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA2
