Ser Westerling glared at Criston as he and the princess came up to the door of the Kings chambers. Just as (Y/n) had predicted, Viserys had indeed been calling for her. The Lord Commander not only not happy that the princess had been able to evade her other guard, but that the newest Kingsguard hadn't brought the Kings much loved sister back to the safety of the Keep as soon as he had found her. Harrold promising himself that he would be having a word with the younger man once they were away from prying eyes.

"My lady..............." The Lord Commander greeted, bowing respectfully before knocking on the door and opening it.

"Thank you, Ser Westerling. And please don't be too hard on Ser Cole or the other Kingsguard. The fault is mine and mine alone. If you wish to admonish anyone, it should be mine............" (Y/n) said, giving the commander of the Kingsguards a smile before making her way into her brother's rooms.

"Of course, princess.............." The elder Kingsguard agreed, before closing the door behind her then turning to Cole.

                                                       >>---------------------------------<<

"Where were you, (Y/n)............? You aren't supposed to run away from the Kingsguard that I have assigned to watch you. They are there for your safety. They...................."

"I went to see Naga, Viserys. Would you like me to have taken my guard with me..........? Perhaps you would like me to take all your Kingsguards down to the pit and see how they fair against my Naga, or perhaps Caraxes...........? How quickly would you be able to find replacements for them when they are incinerated................." (Y/n) retorted, as she moved to look over her brother's model of Old Valyria.

"Anyway, there is no place safer for me than with Naga, and Ser Cole brought me straight back here when he found me............." The princess continued, before she took a seat across from her eldest sibling.

"Now..........why is it my dear brother wishes to see me........?"

"I have received a raven from Coryls................."

"Well, that is nice, though I do not think that that warrants all the fuss about me going to see Naga by myself. About me not being in the Keep............" (Y/n) interrupted, as she leant back in her chair. The princess gesturing for her brother to continue as he gave her one of those looks that he would always give her when she was young. The look that told her that he disapproved of what she was doing, or that he wished she wouldn't interrupt him.

"He and Rhaenys would like you to go and spend some time with them at Driftmark. They say that it has been far too long since.................."

"You mean that you want me to go to Driftmark because Vaemond will be there. Because you are trying to run my life again..............." (Y/n) snapped angrily, as she got to her feet.

"You have been trying to run my life for as long as I can remember. You are my brother, my king, and I love you with all my heart, but I will not allow you to marry me to a man that I do not care for................."

"And why do you think that you should have the freedom to choose, when the rest of us have not? You are a Targaryen, a princess of the realm, we have traditions, ties, connections that must be strengthened. You have a duty. I agreed with you that a match with Daemon was not for the best. But Vaemond................"

"Please Viserys..............." (Y/n) began, as she dropped to her knees by her brother's side and took his hand. Tears now falling down her cheeks in a steady stream.

"Please don't make me marry Vaemond. You are right, with all that. And I do not think that I have the right to choose, when so many others haven't. But you loved Aemma, didn't you? You were happy with her, weren't you? All I want is that...........to be happy. And I do not think that I will be happy with Vaemond. I do not doubt that he is a good man, that he would make some woman a good husband. But that woman is not me. I do not wish to defy you, Viserys. I know that I am more than an age to marry, but I swear that if you send me to Driftmark; if you make me wed Vaemond, I will be dead before that end of the year. Please Viserys, if you have ever loved me, please don't make me do this..............." (Y/n) beseeched, before dropping her head to his knee.

Viserys let out a sigh, as he placed his hand on top of his sister's head. Of course he loved her; admittedly she could be a little too much like Daemon for her own good at times, but he loved her. And she was right, he had loved Aemma, he had been happy with her, so who was he to deny his beloved sister the same opportunity? He was sure that his decision would not please Coryls and Rhaenys. That it may not please his small council; but he had no desire to lose (Y/n), as there was no doubt in his mind that she would do as she said.

"Very well. We will not speak of your marriage again. I will allow you to stay here until you find a man that you love.............." Viserys finally said. A small smile coming to his lips as (Y/n) looked up at him and brushed the tears from her eyes.

"You mean that........? Really...............?"

"Yes...........I have no desire for you to be anything but happy............."

"Oh Viserys........thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I promise that you won't regret this................" (Y/n) squealed happily, as she jumped to her feet and placed a kiss his forehead. Thanking him one more time before racing to the door and hoping that Criston wasn't too far away, so that she would be able to give him the good news.
