The lady had quickly made her way through the corridors of the Keep. Normally she would have a Kingsguard dogging her every step; but this time, and much to her amusement, she had been able to evade the poor man. She knew that her brother would have something to say to her when he found out. That she would have to apologies and inform the Lord Commander that it was not her guard's fault. But at this moment, she didn't care. As the youngest child of Baelon and Alysanne Targargen, she had always been watched over. But when her oldest brother Viserys had become the King of the Iron Throne, she had lost any freedom that she had had. Dragged to the capital from Dragonstone despite her protests. Viserys stating that it would be safer for her in Kings Landing. That it was only right that she was with the rest of her family. And even though she had now lived in the capital for a long time, she still didn't consider it home. The only place that she felt that she belonged, was the dragon pit. The lady often found sitting between her own dragon, Naga, and the others, singing to them softly. And that was where she was now, the dragon wranglers bowing deeply, as she made her way to where Naga rested. The huge, pale grey dragon shifting slowly, as his rider walked over to him.
"Did I wake you my sweet boy? I am so sorry................" The lady cooed, as she placed her forehead against the huge head of her dragon. (Y/n) chuckling softly, as the mighty beast let out a sleepy huff.
"Forgive me, Naga. I just had to see you. To tell you what was happening in the Keep. I know that you like to know." The princess explained. Kissing her dragon on the snout, before taking a seat between his front foot and his neck.
"Where to begin..........where to begin............" (Y/n) mused. Laughing again as Naga made a noise that suggested he wanted her to get on with it so that he could go back to sleep.
"Fine............you grumpy old thing. Well, Viserys again has been talking about me marrying. He says that I am quite old enough to be wed. But at least this time he is not saying that I have to marry Daemon as I should do. Though Vaemond Valeryon's name has was mentioned. It isn't that I don't love Daemon, that I don't like Vaemond, but, well, can you imagine me married to Daemon? We would drive one another to distraction, and he likes his whores far too much for my taste. And Vaemond..........its not that he isn't a handsome man, and I am sure that he would make some woman a fine husband, its just...........I hoped to find someone that I loved and not just marry out of duty or tradition. Though that said, there is someone..............." The lady explained. Smiling as Naga opened one of his eyes and focused on her. Her dragon now seeming to be interested in what she was saying. (Y/n) very sure that he could understand every word she said.
"I know what you would say if you could speak. You would tell me that I had quite lost my mind, and perhaps I have, but...............well..........his name is Criston Cole and Rhaenyra recently chose him to become the new Kingsguard..........." The lady stopping as Naga moved his head, doing his best to look at her properly. (Y/n) sure that he was looking at her in disbelief at what she was telling him.
"Yes, yes................" She groaned, as she got to her feet. The lady pacing in front of Naga.
"I know that it is foolish, Naga. That he has taken the oath, that his name has been written in the book. And even if he hadn't, Viserys would never let me wed a man of such lowly birth. But, oh Naga, you should see him, he is so handsome. And he has a strange kind of sweetness about him. But.......I know that I just have to accept that anything between us is impossible. That I will probably have to marry Vaemond, or the gods forbid, one of those awful Lannister twins. That is if Viserys doesn't force Rhaenyra to marry one of them first." (Y/n) sighed, as she finally stopped her pacing and made her way back to Naga. Her hand softly brushing over his scales.
"Now, if you want, maybe I can sing you back to sleep." The lady smiled. The dragon shaking his head before he lowered it to the floor. Naga and the other dragons listening as her song filled the vast expanse.

"What do you mean, you lost her?" Criston enquired of the other Kingsguard. The newest member of the White Cloaks in complete disbelief that one of his supposedly more experienced fellows had let the king's sister out of his sight.
"I just turned around and she was gone. I have looked everywhere for her and can't find her anywhere." The man replied, Criston realising that he had to do something. That he had to find the princess, and hope that no harm had come to her.
"Did............did you try the dragon pit? She likes to spend time with her dragon." Ser Cole asked. The other Kingsguard looking rather uncomfortable, as he shook his head. Criston not too sure whether the man had not thought about it or was just too scared to go down there.
"Fine. I will go down there; you go and check the gardens again." Criston continued, shaking his head before making his way out of the Keep.
It wasn't that Criston wanted to go to the dragon pits, he had no desire to get roasted alive by one of the great beasts, but he had to. The princess (Y/n) was his charge, and he was well aware how important she was to the king. Yet it wasn't just that, not just duty that was making him go to probably the most dangerous place in the whole of the capital, it was more that his heart had been captured by the beautiful woman and he feared for her safety. For her wellbeing. The newest Kingsguard first meeting the lady when she had been with her niece Rhaenyra, as she had interviewed those that wished to don the cloak. Her smile almost making him forget his words. Her beauty making him regret wanting to take the oath. But once his mind had realised that even if he didn't take the oath, there would be no possibility that he would be allowed anywhere near the lady, having his name placed in the White Book seemed like the only way that he could be close to her. So, here he was, making his way to the pit in hopes of finding the princess and not getting incinerated in the process. The Kingsguard taking a deep breath before making his way down the stairs.
