For Lorelai_Lannister. Hope you all enjoy a new character story.
Tyland made his way to the rooms of the Hand. At the quickly called meeting, he along with Jasper Wylde, and Grand Maester Orwyle had agreed with Otto, that Aegon should be the next to take the throne, now that King Viserys was dead; especially given that it appeared to have been the dying monarchs wish that his eldest son, not his eldest daughter, should be the one to rule after him. Otto having pulled him to one side and informing him to come to the tower later in the day; so that he could receive his reward for his support. The younger twin born of Ceira Lannister only able to imagine what this reward could be; but he had thoughts, hopes. Tyland turning to the guards as he finally came to stand in front of the door to Otto's rooms. One of the younger soldier's fists firmly rapping on the door, before it was opened. Otto looking up from the parchment on his desk; the Hand giving the Master of Ships one of his usual calculating looks, before he gestured for the lion to join him. Tyland's eyes growing wide, as he saw a figure already waiting in the room.

Alicent had spoken to her oldest child; she had sat her down and told her all about what she and her grandfather want from her. Everything finally making sense; every twist and turn of her life, seeming to be explained at this moment. Why as the oldest she had not been married to one of her brothers; why in fact she had not been married off at all, and that was because her mother and grandfather had been biding their time until they could use her. And now it was obvious that the time had come.
(Y/n) had never been a fool. Even from being a young girl, she had wanted to know about everything, she had questioned everything, including her father and grandfather; and she had realised long ago that as a child of the king, and a daughter at that, she was little more than a pawn in a much larger game. A pawn that would be brought into play when the moment was right. That it was not her destiny to be wed to Aegon; but to be given to some other man as part of an alliance, or as a reward for his loyalty to her grandfather's House. And it was the latter presumption that now seemed to be coming true. Though she was not sure what to think about the man being Tyland Lannister.
"So, a Lannister will have what they wanted, after all? Surely though Tyland will think that I am a lesser prize than Rhaenyra. I know full well that both he and his brother vied for my sister's hand when they were younger........" (Y/n) said, as her mother escorted her to the rooms of her grandfather.
"Lesser prize? You are no lesser prize. You are as much a princess as Rhaenyra is. As much a daughter of the king as she is. You my darling daughter were the most beautiful thing that I had ever laid my eyes on, when they first placed you in my arms; and you are still as beautiful now. Many a lord would agree that you are one of the most glorious women in the Seven Kingdoms. It is he who is the lesser; by rights, it should be Jason Lannister as the elder twin that received your hand, he is the Lord of Casterly Rock, after all. But this is your grandfather's wish. Tyland will be good to you, (Y/n), I am sure he will; I know that he is older than you, but that does not mean that he cannot give you all that a young man can. Remember, all you have to ensure, is that you provide him with an heir or two." Alicent replied, as the mother and daughter finally got to the rooms of the Hand.
An heir or two.........she of course knew what that meant. It might have been ensured that her maidenhood was kept intact for the right man; but that did not mean that she was unaware of what was expected of a woman, for she had maids that talked, brother's that were not happy that they were not married to her, and Aegon in particular would take great delight in telling her exactly what he would do to her if he got a chance. And then there was her younger sister; Helaena, during the times that she made sense, tending to talk to (Y/n) about the ins and outs of married life. And now it seemed that she was about to discover those ins and outs, for herself. The guards knocking on the door and allowing the queen and princess to enter the room.
>>-------------------------------<<
Her mother had left her, almost as soon as they had entered the rooms of her grandfather. (Y/n) sitting before the old man and listening as he explained to her that she was to be the wife of Tyland; that she was basically his reward for supporting Aegon being crowned, over Rhaenyra. Though she had to think that there were worse men that she could be given to, her brother Aegon being one of them.
"ENTER!" Otto called out. (Y/n) keeping her eyes forward, as she heard the door open, and someone come into the room. The princess not having to look to know who it was. Her heart beating a little quicker as her grandfather gestured for the visitor to sit in the chair next to her.
"Princess (Y/n).......I did not think.........." Tyland began, as he looked at the younger woman. (Y/n) doing her best to smile, as her grandfather informed the Master of Ships to take a seat. Tyland doing as he was bid, hoping that the presence of the princess meant what he believed it did.
