They were laughing, actually laughing. She had never seen the twins smile before, never mind laugh. And when she thought about it, she had never seen any other Kingsguard laugh. Especially Ser Westerling. The lady presuming that when they took the oath, and their name was placed in the book; they gave up their sense of humour too. But here they were, Arryk and Erryk both laughing at something she had said. The sound, the look, making her smile herself.

She had pulled the pair through the streets, the youngest child of the Hand not blind to the envious looks from other women, as she and the handsome twins wound their way through the capital. (Y/n) finding herself pulling the two a little closer, as they reached the market.

As always, it was bustling. The stalls were filled with all manner of goods, the air heavy with the sound of chatter and bargaining. People wandering to and fro, going about their regular days. (Y/n) always found it refreshing, she always found it simple. There was no scheming, no conniving, no plotting, no planning; well, other than some of the less reputable traders perhaps. No, this was just people trying to live the best lives that they could. And the good thing about being a Hightower, and not a Targaryen, was that no one knew that she was not just like them. Though admittedly, her clothes were not as simple as many others that walked around, (Y/n) still liked to think that she fit in. Yet this time, with the handsome twins by her side, she was getting a few more looks than she would normally get.

"My lady................"

"I told you to not call me that out here." (Y/n) scolded, as she looked up at Arryk, before placing another bundle in his arms. The lady not wanting it known that she was anything but small folk. Erryk doing his best not to laugh at his brother, before he too had something else added to the not so inconsiderable pile of things in his arms.

"(Y/n)..........we should be getting back..........."

"Why................?"

"If your father, the que..........your sister............."

"Were you going to say if they come looking for me? Please, I doubt either of them would notice, never mind care that I was not home. But fine, one more stall and we shall go..............." (Y/n) replied, with a smile, before informing the pair that they had to stay where they were, and she would be back. The lady ignoring the Kingsguards, as they tried to argue that they really should follow, to which she resorted to telling them that it was an order that they should not follow. Erryk and Arryk just standing there, as the sister of the queen moved quickly through the crowd; seeming to reappear as quickly as she had disappeared, pushing two small boxes into the bag that hung over her shoulder.

"There, see. No harm has befallen me. Now come on..........." (Y/n) said, as she once more linked her arms with those of the men, pulling them through the market and back to the Keep.

                                                      >>-----------------------------------<<

"Here." The lady said, as Erryk and Arryk placed all the bundles down on the table. The pair turning to see the daughter of the Hand, holding out the two boxes that she had put into her bag.

The return to the Keep had been uneventful, apart from the bannermen looking strangely at the pair of Kingsguards being pulled along by the smaller lady. The Cargylls, giving them a warning glare, before disappearing into the castle, and up to the lady's chambers.

"My lady...............?"

"I bought them for you. Consider them an apology for earlier today...........and a thank you." She continued, pushing the boxes into the men's hands.

"Well, open them..............." (Y/n) continued, almost bouncing on her toes, as the two looked at one another, before doing as they were told. The twins bringing out a small golden goose, from each of the boxes.

"I thought, as a golden goose is the symbol of your House, I would get you one each." The lady explained, as she felt a sudden surge of confidence, stepping forward and kissing both men on the cheek.

"I.........you may go now.......thank you.............." She added, turning away as she felt an embarrassed heat flush her cheeks. The two men not saying a word, before she heard the door to the room close.

"What were you doing.........? They are Kingsguards.........you are not supposed to kiss Kingsguards...........I am not even going to mention the thoughts that you have been having about them......." (Y/n) chastised herself, as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"Oh, what if they tell Ser Westerling..........my sister........my father........Aegon............." She moaned, dropping her head into her hands.

"No, no, they are gentleman, and it was only a kiss on the cheek. It was a mere show of appreciation; they will know that. They will understand that........." (Y/n) tried to reason, as she got to her feet and paced the room.

"That, and I am sure that if they told the Lord Commander what happened, they would be in more trouble than I would..............." She continued, before dropping onto her bed and staring up at the ceiling.

"Of all the men in Westeros........all the eligible young lords there are, and you have to have wicked thoughts about a Kingsguard. And not just one Kingsguard.........two. Two men that you cannot have........." An exasperated sigh leaving her lips, before she grabbed a pillow and screamed into it. (Y/n) just hoping that tomorrow, the Cargylls would be back guarding her awful nephew. And that by the time she saw them again, they would have forgotten all about that kiss.
