Otto paced his rooms. A teary eyed Alicent had already been to see him, informing her father about what had happened. About the look in the woman's eyes, as she had thrown her from the king's room. The plans of the Hand of the King, crumbling around his ears at the mention of the name (Y/n) Targaryen.

He had hoped that the news of Aemma's death would not reach wherever the female dragon was; but he should have known that the world was not big enough to keep such things from her ears. That sooner or later the woman that had been the scourge of his existence while she had been in Kings Landing, would make an appearance. But again, he had hoped; he had hoped that it wouldn't be until Viserys had named a new bride. A bride that was his daughter. Though now, now he knew that there was no chance that the king could be manipulated into marrying anyone other than his sister. His notions of increasing his power, of getting even closer to the throne, now little more than dust trampled under the boot of the female dragon.

It had been a surprise to all when Viserys had wed Aemma Arryn, and not his sister, in the first place. All knew that even from a young age, the oldest son of Baelon had looked to his youngest sibling for help and advice, though she were still nothing but a small child; it obvious that out of all the children, (Y/n) had been gifted with the best of minds. She was astute, quick and most certainly not a fool. That, and she had the heart and temperament of a true dragon. So, when Viserys had married someone other than his sister, there had been a few rumours as to why; that she and Daemon were already wed. That she was already wed to some other, unknown man and was with child; the whole thing supposed to be really rather scandalous. But the truth about the whole thing had been really rather boring. The truth was, that despite the love that she had for her sibling, the princess loved her freedom too, and there was also the fact that she knew that her cousin and friend, Aemma, had been in love with Viserys; (Y/n) wanting two of the people she loved the most, to be happy. And so that was what had happened, Viserys and Aemma had been wed with (Y/n)'s blessing; and she, she had had her freedom. Otto more than delighted when she had taken her dragon and flown away, once Rhaenyra had been old enough. But now she was back, and the Hand doubted that this time she would take her dragon and fly away. Otto finally dropping into the chair behind his desk, wondering how he could make this turn of events work in his favour. How he could find favour with a woman that hated even the air he breathed.

                                                        >>------------------------------------<<

(Y/n) sat holding Viserys hands, as he told her about Aemma's death. How they had tried to save his son. About how she and the boy had been sent to the gods by Syrax. The princess forcing back the tears, at the notion that she had not been able to say goodbye to her dearest cousin; how she had not been able to hold Baelon in her arms, before he had joined his mother. She was not going to cry; she would cry later when she was alone. Now she had to be strong for her brother. She had to be there for him, to keep him together. (Y/n) had always been her brother's rock; the thing that he would cling to in times of need. And no time was greater than now. The princess' sadness becoming anger, as her brother turned to other matters. To the subject of the small council and their push to have him remarry. To the line of succession. How he needed a son and that Laena, the twelve year old daughter of Corlys had been pushed forward. How Alicent Hightower would come to read to him in his darkest hours. (Y/n) feeling her blood boil at the notion of that creature getting her claws into her brother. That that odious snake Otto, might then be able to manipulate Viserys more than she was sure that he already did.

"(Y/n).............." Viserys finally said. His sister doing her best to smile as she looked at him.

"Don't leave me. Promise me that you won't leave me this time. Sometimes I don't know what to think, I don't know what to do. I need your advice. I need your clear head............I need you............" The king continued, as he gripped his sister's hands tighter. The thought that she could leave with her dragon Drako, only a short time after she had come back into his life, making the whole situation far worse. Viserys not sure how he would cope, with not only his continued grief, but with the pressures of ruling and keeping together a kingdom if he were to remain alone.

"You have my word, Viserys, I have no intention of leaving you. The world still calls to Drako and I; but this time I will not listen. And........as we are getting older, he and I; I think that it is about time that we settled down a little. So, I can think of no better place to do that, than here, with you. My dearest brother." The princess replied, as she carefully pulled one of her hands away from his and placed it on his cheek.

"(Y/n)..............."

"Yes, Viserys............?"

"Marry me...............?"
