Jon's POV

"You don't understand what you'd be giving up. We have no families. None of us will ever father sons..." Uncle Benjen says

While he listed out the things I would never have I kept seeing Amara's face but I can never give her the life she deserves. What would we be a Princess of a Nobel house whose crown was snatched from her and the Bastard of Winterfell? I can never my children a name, I will hold no lands everything that's here is Robb's none of it is mine.

"I don't care about that!" I say out loud hoping it would stop me from hearing her voice

"You might if you knew what it meant. What she meant." Uncle Benjen says

Do I make my feeling for Amara so obvious?

"I'd better get inside rescue your father from his guests. We'll talk later." He says and walks inside the hall.

Amara's POV

I walked around for a few minutes then felt like I need to go and speak to Jon so I walk back to where I came from.

He was still hacking away at the training dummy.

"At this point you gotta know that it is dead," I say smiling a bit

"You came back?" Jon asks coming towards me

"Yes I thought you might be getting ideas in your head about the way I left," I say a bit cheekily

He did not say anything just looking at me with those eyes of his.

"So when do you go off to the wall?" I ask as a piece of my heart breaks

"Don't know it depends on Uncle Benjen and Lord Stark," Jon replies

"Your father," I correct him

"Aye, my father," Jon says with a sad smile

"Well, I am sure he will give you his blessings if this is what you want. Is this what you want?" I ask him

"I...I... I don't know. Amara, I have never felt like I belong here in Winterfell. For 16 years I have felt like an outsider, this is supposed to be home but it never felt like it. I love everyone here but this place just never felt like home...until..." Jon says and stops

"Until?" I ask him

"Until you came here... and Allyandra I started enjoying my time here then you left and then I was alone again," Jon explains

"I understand what you mean. But I want you to know my leaving Winterfell was never in my hands nothing ever was until I decided to sail across the narrow seas," I tell him what I wanted to tell him all those years ago

"I know, I always knew. But I was still upset and I am sorry for not saying goodbye when you left and for not writing to you, I did keep all of the letters you wrote to me but I never opened them," Jon says with that beautiful smile of his

"Mayhaps I would come and visit you at the Wall," I say

"Tell me one day when I have a daughter of mine own and she wants to go to the wall as I did and comes to you begging to take her with you. Will you take her?" I ask

"If her father and Lord of Winterfell allow it then I will take her," Jon says choking on his worst a little

"Well, Ned did cave after I asked for years and he allowed me to go," I say smiling a little bit
