☆Just a Little Jealous☆

A/n It might be 1 am but it's technically Thursday and I'm impatient so I'm posting this chapter.

Amity sits in the living room of the owl house, she kicks her legs back and forth. She originally came to the owl house to hang out with Luz but she had gone into the kitchen to grab something and hasn't come back. Amity taps her foot. Normally, she won't get impatient so quickly because if Luz needed some time to make a sandwich or something Amity was more than willing to wait a bit for her but Amity knows that's not what was happening. She doesn't go to the owl house very often (because of her mother) so when she has the chase she wants it to be perfect but this time she didn't account for something.

Y/N.

Y/N wasn't someone Amity didn't know very well. Before Luz came to the demon realm she occasionally saw him in the halls of Hexside and she knew that he hung out with the twins a lot. Then after a while, Luz did introduce Amity to Y/N though she didn't really get to know him.

And right now guess who was preoccupying Luz in the kitchen? Yep. Amity would be lying if she said she wasn't at least a little jealous. She stands up from the couch and walks towards the doorway to the kitchen. She peers into the room and sees the two people in question talking. Y/N makes a joke about something Amity doesn't understand but Luz seems to think it's the funniest thing in the whole realm.

'Why can't I make her laugh like that.?' Amity thinks to herself.

"Hey, why are we spying on Luz and Y/N?" A voice whispers.

Amity jumps away from the doorway looking at Eda. She panics, trying to explain herself. "I-i was just about to uhm-"

Eda smiles. "It's ok kid, come on." Eda leads Amity back to the living room. Eda sits down on the couch. "Are you worried Y/N likes Luz?" She asks upfront. Amity blushes furiously at the question. "What!? Pfff, noo. Why would I care about that!" Once Amity realizes Eda isn't believing it she signs and sits down next to Eda on the couch. "Is it that easy to tell?"

"Well, not really. I overheard your two little friends saying they think you might like Luz."

"Willow and Gus?"

"Yeah, those two."

Amity sinks into the couch covering her face in embarrassment. Eda moves closer to Amity and puts a hand on her shoulder. "Hey if it makes you feel better Y/N doesn't like Luz." Amity moves her hands and looks up at Eda. "He doesn't?"

"Nope, he doesn't really swing that way, if you get me."

"Oh. OH!" Amity realizes her mistake and almost feels stupid to have assumed anything.

"Also, I think he might be seeing someone right now."

"Really?"

"Yeah, something that both me and his parents have noticed is recently he's been going out more and more and whenever we ask him what he was doing he gets all flustered and makes up a lie. So you've got nothing to worry about, kid."

"So then the main character gets trapped in this- Oh my gosh! I should get back to Amity I've made her wait way too long." Luz suddenly stops mid-sentence and changed the subject. I'm confused for a moment before I process what she said.

"Wait, is Amity here? Well why are you talking to me, we can talk about this later."

"Your right, I'll finish the story tomorrow at school. Ok?"

"Ok, now go get 'em!" I wink at Luz and she blushes at the words of encouragement. "I told you I don't like Amity that way!" Luz tries to deny but it's very obvious.

"Surreee..." I roll my eyes at her.
