Chapter #24

No one's POV
Hope enters her room with a tired sigh. Y/n is still not back, Josie just remembered why she used black magic and she's sure Lydia's lying about what happened with her roommate. Feeling overwhelmed with so many thoughts running through her mind, she leans back on the closed door with her eyes closed trying to calm her thoughts.

She mutters a calming spell instantly feeling more relaxed, like an elephant took its foot off her chest. Her eyes flutter open and her sight stops on Y/n's bloody phone. She takes a deep breath grabbing the phone from the night stand and heading to her ensuite bathroom to clean it up. She takes a paper towel soaking it into water and starts rubbing the screen and the case until there's not a single blood drop on the device.

The auburn settles the phone on the desk that's on Yn's side and drags a beanbag out on the little terrace. She sits down staring at the stars she then glances at the moon. She closes her eyes as the weird unsettling feeling travels through her body again. The thought of what Josie told her and Lizzie wouldn't leave her alone.

"What happened? What do you remember?" Lizzie asks impatiently as she helps her twin sit on the bed.

"I- the monster, when he was at the school, he talked to me. He wanted to kill the true Alpha's pack so he put me to do a spell to-to bring some monsters back." Lizzie and Hope glance at eachother, dread in their eyes as the word 'monsters' leave Josie's lips.

"What monsters?" Hope asks looking back at the brunette Saltzman.

"I don't know. I can't remember, but... I think they're more powerful than anything we've encountered before." Josie says looking between the two girls beside her. Lizzie start rubbing her sister's back trying to assure her that everything will be fine.

"We're going to figure out a way to stop them. I'm sure of that, but we need to tell your mother first." Hope says and the twins nod.

"We'll do it." Josie says looking into Hope's eyes. "You need some rest after the day we had." She continues as Hope nods.

"Alright. Take care." The auburn says standing up and leaving the room.

Right as her memory ended her dorm door clicked open, a black figure Hope couldn't identify the face to walks in. She stands up walking into the room as the light from the lamp on the nightstand lights the person's face.

"Y/n. Hey." Hope says exhaling a shaky breath when she sees her roommate alive and well.

"Hey Hope." Y/n responds with a smile. An awkward silence settles in the room as the two don't know what to say. Hope was worried about what happened to the girl and seeing her only raises more questions that the brunette could now answer. Y/n was nervous about the Mikaelson asking her anything about that day, knowing she'll have to lie. She already has a story to cover up what happened in the woods, Lydia told her what to say so that they would all have the same story.

"Um, where were you today?" Hope asks playing with her rings as Y/n grabs her pyjama. "You went for jogging but didn't came back, we were worried."

"I was with Damon and Elena. I lost my phone in the woods and it was already pretty late so I went to them." Y/n explains but Hope feels like it's not the whole story. She doesn't say anything as the brunette enters their bathroom to change, leaving the door ajar. Hope sits on her bed looking at her roommate's phone.

Y/n didn't mention anything about her getting hurt but there was blood on her phone, Hope used her vampire enhanced senses to try and catch a smell of blood coming from the bathroom, but nothing... She could only smell the shower gel the girl used but it wasn't her usual, this was different. Hope couldn't stop the endless thoughts from invading her mind, but one makes her heart catch in her throat. What if Y/n was supernatural?
