I was wrong.
I ended up sleeping for seven hours, forty two minutes and nineteen seconds.
Okay, maybe I'm not so sure about the seconds but I did sleep for seven hours and forty two minutes.
And I still felt tired.
All I did was eat, shower and sit in front of the TV until Peter and Ned walked in, whispering amongst themselves.
"What's with the whispering?" I asked and they both jumped, causing me to narrow my eyes now.
"Nothing!" They both exclaimed and I rolled my eyes.
"May's not coming home early tonight, she's picking up a double shift." I told them.
"Tell her. She's a superhero, she could help." Ned whispered.
"No. I'm not telling her." Peter whispered back and I rolled my eyes.
"She's right here and can hear everything you're saying." I said as I stood up from the sofa, stretching. "What did you not want to tell me about?" I asked as I grabbed the bags of Doritos from Peter.
"It's nothing Lis, we'll just head to the room." Peter shrugged, gesturing to our room.
"Ned?" I pressed and he tensed.
"Peter fought these bad guys last night and he thinks they're the guys supplying the weapons that those guys used to rob the bank. So he put a tracker on them today when we saw them and he thinks the tracker would lead them to the lair with the flying dude that dropped him in the lake." He breathed out and I smirked at Peter, who groaned and glared at Ned.
"Dude!"
"What? I'm sorry okay? She was staring at me funny and I was nervous and you know I ramble when I'm nervous." Ned excused himself as Peter turned to me.
"You got dropped in a lake? I knew something was up with you." I scolded and Peter looked down.
"It's okay. That's not what's important. What's important now is that tracker." He tried to excuse and I sighed.
I put my hand out, excepting him to hand me the web shooters but they both just stared at me blankly.
"The web shooters." I pointed out and they nodded as Peter pulled it off and dropped it in my hand.
I turned and walked towards the room, pausing when they just stood there staring at me.
"Does this mean spiderman is grounded?" Ned whispered.
"I don't know. I think I can still swing with one web shooter." Peter whispered back, making me roll my eyes.
I used my head to gesture to the room. "C'mon."
▪️
"This is so awesome." Ned gushed as I handed him the web shooters.
"I know, right?" Peter responded as I climbed up to my bed, bags of chips in hand.
Ned poked the projection and the model became more defined. I dropped one of the bags for them and Peter glanced up.
"Thanks Lis." Ned muttered as Peter looked back down at the hologram.
"They're in Brooklyn." He noted.
▪️
Ned is still studying the hologram and Peter is hanging upside down, eating from their bag. He occasionally tried to steal from my bag but it only ended with a smack to his wrist.
"Staten Island."
▪️
It's dark outside already. Ned is laying on the floor building the death star while Peter worked at his desk and I am on the bed, working Peter's homework. Ned glanced at the hologram.
