My body slammed harshly against a surface and a grunt escaped me.
I laid there, trying to figure out what the hell was going on, when a shade covers my face from the harsh light.
I opened my eyes slowly to see objects falling in my direction.
My eyes widened and I rolled away just in time as the heavy objects landed in a puddle close by splashing water everywhere.
I took in my surroundings, different colors of portals—or what I think are portals, because frankly they looked like vortexes, littered across the sky. I know I'm not on my planet anymore.
I lifted myself a little to look around for Loki, maybe he was here too since he got pushed out a few seconds before me but nothing.
I'm glad I left a message for everyone back on earth before I left.
I landed, looking around the junkyard, I spotted what seems to be spacecrafts, floating around and some heading in the direction of a faint noises. Civilization.
Before I could fly in that direction I was surrounded by some spacecrafts, a weird song booming from within. It opened up, to reveal a group of aggressive looking creatures.
"Are you fighter or are you food?" It asked with so much aggression and I frowned, lighting up my hand in defence.
"Uh, I'm a bit of a fighter?" I responded.
In my little experience with the guardians, most aggressive looking creatures are actually the nicest.
The leader glanced back at his people, exchanging shrugs before lifting his blaster, aimed at me and fired a shot. I guess these guys don't fall into that category.
I raised my field before the impact— which was a net, could land. I could feel the electricity buzzing off it, it was enough to knock any creature out.
I pushed the net off me, throwing blasts at them. They all charged towards me with loud cries, their weapons drawn—or in this case, aimed.
After a series of punches and blasts, all of them were down— well except the one whose collar was in my grasp, whimpering.
"What planet is this?" I asked.
"Sakaar." He responded and I frowned.
He must have seen the confusion on my face because he continued.
"It is run by Grandmaster, he lives in the city. Please, spare me." He cried and I let go of him.
He scurried off into the vast dump yard while I took to the skies, flying towards the city.
I landed at the outskirts of the city so I didn't draw attention to myself.
I walked through the noisy crowd filled with different creatures, asking a few where I could find the Grandmaster. After seconds of shooting weird looks at me, they pointed me to the tallest building in the city.
I heaved out a sigh of relief when I finally stood in front of the heavily guarded building. I mentally prepared myself as I walked in, only to bump into a strong body, knocking their bottle out of their hands as they cursed.
"Shit. I'm so sorry." I apologized.
I looked up to see a pair of brown eyes hardened with a glare, directed at me.
She is beautiful. Her hair packed into a very messy bun, white markings on her face, her brown skin glowing. I knew she was strong, she would have knocked a regular human down with that force.
"Watch where you're going next time." She sneered before turning around to leave.
She was coming out of the building meaning she knows where the Grandmaster is and she could get me in.
