"Abby seems to really hate me. were you two that close?", Richie asked Sam as they climbed into her car outside the trailer. Sam timidly bit her lip as she sat in the driver's seat, "um, yeah in some way." "what do you mean?", Richie asked curiously. Sam sighed, "when we were younger, Abby and i-"
knock! knock!
Abby appeared at the window of Richie's side of the car. "hey, sweet face. unlock the doors, will ya?" Sam smiled and unlocked the car immediately. Abby beamed as she opened the front passenger's door. Richie looked at the blonde girl with confusion, "aren't you gonna sit at the back?"
"kids are the ones supposed to sit in the back. besides, Olivia Morris at at the back of the car and she ended up dead later that day, so no.", Abby casually replied, pulling the older boy out of his seat and making him stumble to the dirt path. Sam chuckled as she watched Abby climb into the seat next to her and closing the door. grunting, Richie stumbled into the backseat, dusting off the soil from his clothing.
"Abby, can you call Mindy and tell her to gather everyone at her place?", Sam asked Abby who nodded and pulled out her phone to call her younger friend. within a few minutes, they made it to Mindy and Chad's place. Mindy was waiting for them out front and immediately engulfed Abby, whispering, "oh my gosh, did you two get back together or something?"
"no, but i had the guts to kick Richie out the front seat so i could sit there.", Abby replied, following Mindy into the house where she was led to the home theater that was dedicated to Randy Meeks, one of the victims of the ghostface killings in 1997. also the uncle of Chad and Mindy, and brother of Martha Meeks - the twins' mom. but mostly known for being the best and biggest horror enthusiast.
Abby joined the group of younger teens and sat between Liv and her brother. "so, how do you know so much about the Stab movies?", Abby could hear Richie ask as he and Sam walked into the room with Mindy in front.
"runs in her family.", Dewey replied, appearing from behind them. Abby smiled. "i guess my motivation speech for him worked.", she muttered to herself and her brother who stiffled a laugh.
Mind explained to Richie, "Randy was our uncle. RIP." she sent a flying kiss with her two fingers as a sign of respect to her late uncle who had a big portrait on the wall above the fireplace. "you said to bring everybody.", Mindy said as Sam saw the entire younger group sitting around the area. mostly amused in her head with the fact that Abby was bunched up with Chad, Liv and Wes on one couch which barely fit them four.
in came an older woman who Abby knew very well as Mindy's mother - Martha Meeks-Martin. "Wooo, suspects.", she said teasingly, carrying a tray of snacks and a huge bowl of popcorn into the room, placing it down on the glass coffee table before Mindy could grab more. "hey, Martha.", Dewey greeted one of his old friends. Martha gasped, "Dewey! hi! you look...", she trailed, not really knowing what to compliment about Dewey. Dewey awkwardly nodded with a goofy smile, "yeah." "how's the wife?"
"okay, mom, we're good. thank you.", Chad interrupted before things could get more awkward with everyone in the room. "alright, kids. have fun.", Martha jokingly did an 'i'm watching you' motion with her two fingers before leaving the room.
everyone's heads turned as another girl showed up at the archway, she had shoulder length black hair that curled at the ends, fairly tanned skin, a slightly wide and flat nose, and big dark brown eyes. "i'm so sorry i'm late, i couldn't get a taxi earlier." "oh my god, Kyla?", Wes gasped along with the others who were pretty shocked to see the girl come in. Mindy chuckled, "you actually made it on time for once." "i took the next train as soon as you called.", Kyla told the group, out of breath as she stumbled next to Mindy on the couch.
