Abby, Sam, Tara, Chad and Danny met Kirby just outside the subway exit, outside the theater's sealed front doors. "hey. i talked to Bailey. i've got everything set up.", Kirby told them, walking next to Abby. "where are Mindy, Kyla and Ethan?"
"they're five minutes behind us.", Tara informed.
Kirby nodded, "let's get you all inside."
Abby turned to Danny, "not you." "what?", her best friend asked, confused to her actions. "i'm sorry, Danny. but i can't trust just anyone right now. we don't know you. not really."
"i'm your best friend."
"you're not Woodsboro, and it's for your safety. i'm sorry."
"it's okay, it's okay. i get it. be safe, okay?"Abby nodded, giving him a small side hug which he returned. "you too." leaving Danny behind, the group continued, heading down towards the back entrance. "good call.", Kirby told Abby who nodded.
inside, Kirby opened the metal gates, the creaking noise echoing around the big room. "i cleared the whole place before you got here.", she shut the gates, locking it. "so, this is the only way in or out. he steps in through the first door, both doors lock automatically, trapping him inside. we turn it into a kill box."
"weapons?", Sam asked.
"one gun, and i hold onto it."
before Sam could protest, Kirby reasoned, "i am the only one with a badge here and that's the way it's gonna be. we're safe here."
they stayed silent, and Sam said, "i'm gonna check in with Mindy. See if they're close." she began walking towards the main theater where she tossed off her jacket onto a display box. Tara took hers off too and Abby did as well as it was pretty hot inside the abandoned building.
"Mindy's not picking up.", Sam said after the call she made failed. Abby shook her head, "Kyla's not answering either. i'm gonna try Ethan."
Abby tapped her foot impatiently, her chunky combat boot's sole making soft thuds against the wooden floor. she listened to the vibrating rings from her phone and found no response from Ethan's number either. "goddamn it, can't one of you pick up any signal?"
"psst!"
Abby's blue eyes looked over to the display case of her father's items where she could see his relfection. a mischievous grin on his face that made him look like an excited kid peering into a candy store. "not you again.", she murmured, approaching the glass.
"ooh! i know where all this is leading too~", Stu sing songed with enthusiasm in his voice. Abby rolled her eyes, arms crossed. "act three's coming up real fast, Bee. ready for your close up scenes?"
"no.", Abby bluntly replied. "i'm fucking terrifed and don't have any pills with me."
"Bee, you don't need the pills.""but–"
