y/n's apartment.

it's been two weeks since zoro and y/n's big fight.

hancock was right; the media was eating those news up.

after their little moment in zoro's car, the paparazzi, as predicted, released those steamy pictures to the world. in the matter of just a couple days, everyone knew the two were involved.

in addition, what went viral were numerous pictures from different angles showing them holding hands as they entered and left the club for luffy's "400k twitch subscribers" celebration. what y/n feared the most ended up happening that night; one too many people noticed the two "cuddled up" with different people— y/n with ace and zoro with his known ex-girlfriend, tashigi. with this upcoming couple also came many doubts.

too many articles were mentioning the two, they were trending on twitter, had new fan pages and fan edits, both of their instagram comments were swarmed with people asking for more pictures, more content, and answers to the "cheating scandals". people just couldn't mind their goddamn business.

they easily became the talk of california.

and y/n hated it all.

on a bright tuesday afternoon, the girl took a long and hot shower in hopes of calming her nerves, but to no avail. now, she was currently seated at her living room table, her feet on the edge of her chair it order to lay her chin on her knees. heart to heart by mac demarco was playing on her home speaker, the soft tune resonating all over her apartment.

she sighed, rereading the list of open-ended questions she had prepared for zoro's interview. initially, she was going to be the one doing the interview, but y/n was having second thoughts. she thought it'd be better to get someone else to do it for her... she wanted to avoid zoro roronoa as much as possible.

she rummaged through her chaotic research notes, trying to find the right ones in order to put them in a neat outline.

"introduction, article body, and conclusion..." she listed, making a new word document on her macbook.

"mmh." she clasped her hands together, resting her spine on the back of her chair. "what is my thesis statement." she asked herself as she looked at the white, blank screen in front of her.

chewing on her gum, her thoughts ran wild for a good minute before the light bulb in that disorganized brain of hers lit up. she cleared her throat, fixing her posture again.

"why... zoro... roronoa..." she started typing what she was saying, a smile on her face. "is... an... a-s-s-h-o-l-e." she typed in the last word as she snickered, proudly looking at the sentence she wrote.
