Just like Soobin has expected before, leaving Yeonjun this morning to go to work has been rather difficult. Well, it was generally okay, but between staying at home and cuddling or just generally spending time with Yeonjun and actually going to work, Soobin would not have necessarily chosen the latter option voluntarily.

The main issue is not necessarily that he hates his work or something, but he could have very much foregone the awkward moments of walking past Hyeja somewhere in the building and uncomfortably nodding instead of spending time together and chatting as usual. While he is back at work and doing his tasks, in which they would usually end up seeing each other quite frequently, she would be almost nowhere in sight today. It is quite obvious to Soobin that she is avoiding him on purpose and that is not exactly staying unnoticed by his friends either.

Minho and Jisung immediately notice that something is off and use the online chat portal of their company to text each other in a private chatroom, looking to everyone else like they are simply typing anything work related in their computers. They try to find out if anything happened and end their conversation with the conclusion of asking Soobin about what exactly happened when they are finally on lunch break and a bet is placed between the two as well.

Jisung bets that Hyeja and Soobin have some sort of argument going on, but will be fine again soon.

Minho bets that Soobin broke up with Hyeja because there is something going on between him and Yeonjun instead, which Jisung finds a little too much to assume, without knowing of course that Minho actually had Yeonjun as his source of information and knew for a fact that he would win this bet easily.

Minho was also the one who had seen Soobin and Yeonjun kissing in the mall, leading Jisung over to them along with him as soon as the younger finished paying for the items he had picked out before. So while Jisung is actually unaware of what is going on, Minho knows exactly and from having seen the way Soobin looks at Yeonjun, he is pretty sure his friend has caught some kind of romantic feelings for the other.

Of course Minho is also more than ready to receive his price for winning the bet. If Jisung had even had a chance to win, he would have wanted Minho to finally take him to the game store he has been wanting to go to for a long time now. Minho on the other hand, has asked for something else as his price and the mere thought of receiving what he wants already excites him so much.

So at lunch, they finally ask their friend what is up between him and Hyeja.

"Why?", Soobin asks, looking up at Jisung for a moment and blinking at him a few times.

"I don't know, just really wanted to know why you two are avoiding each other.", Jisung says and properly holds onto his sandwich, taking a big bite right then as he shrugs, "You had a fight or sum?"

"Ah well...", Soobin starts and sighs deeply right after that, actually deciding to tell them what happened. So he does exactly that, telling them everything about what happened at the cafe and about how he has cheated on Hyeja twice before actually breaking up with her. He mentions briefly about having shared a kiss with Yeonjun sometime before that though, while of course not telling them anything about the magic realm. Of course not. They would think he has absolutely lost it.

And while Jisung keeps a normal conversation with Soobin, ignoring the smirk on his boyfriend's face as he is silently admitting defeat, Minho can already imagine so well how his reward is going to look like, pulling Jisung away from Soobin as soon as their break is over. Soobin actually just finishes up some of his current tasks and calls some people that were not reachable before, planning on leaving the office soon.

Minho and Jisung already tell him goodbye while they walk off together, not quite knowing whether or not they will actually see Soobin again before he leaves for the day. And before they even know it, the couple is already heavily making out in one of the toilet stalls of their company, Jisung just complaining in between as he feels betrayed by his own partner. He is complaining until Minho has him pushed up against the wall, promising to still take him to the game store like he has wished to happen. That seems to be enough to make Jisung smile and get back into giving Minho his reward.
