After Soobin's little confession moment, the two of them have pretty much been acting like a couple without necessarily realising it. It did not happen on purpose, but rather instinctively and because being together just feels so... right all of a sudden.
Yeonjun remembers how they started off and how he was just next level pissed at every single thing that Soobin did. Every breath Soobin took just felt like it was too much and triggered a nerve in Yeonjun he did not even know could be triggered. Soobin's presence, his mere existence, just annoyed Yeonjun to the point of snapping at him for everything he did or said.
But all that irritation seems to have turned into affection and care and it all happened so much faster than it has ever taken Yeonjun to like someone.
He would of course still refuse to tell Soobin about liking him. After all, he does not understand it himself. Sometimes it feels like his feelings and thoughts are not his own, like he is living in a pre written world and everything he does is already set in stone by the author.
But for now, Yeonjun does not mind. He enjoys the time here in the human realm with Soobin. So much so that he would occasionally even forget why he was here in the first place. Occasionally meaning way more often than he should.
It makes him worry how little his mind has actually spent thinking about the situation back home. He should be more concerned. He knows that. But being with Soobin in the human world just makes this all feel so very distant and like it was a movie he has watched or a book he has read at some point. The moment him and Soobin have arrived in the human realm, Yeonjun's every thought and feeling became deluded in ways he was never expecting to happen.
Not with a human.
Not with Choi Soobin.
His brother, Taehyun, Kai, Jeongin and Chan and his boys are currently out to look for a crystal to save the magic realm from the magic shadows that are currently devouring it. And they are yet to find out how to activate said stone as well. Yeonjun does not even know if they will ever end up finding the stone and especially when it is clearly not activated yet, which just makes it so much harder to detect.
And Yeonjun? Yeonjun is living his cheesy romance novel best life with Soobin, pretty much jumping the man every chance he gets and discovering new things about the human realm while the other is at work.
Like the internet for example. Yeonjun finally knows what the internet is and has concluded that it is the human world's own kind of magic. Really, he finds it incredibly interesting.
He usually tries to play games or watch videos. But he has found out just recently as well that he can ask an extra planar, mighty entity called Google basically any question or give her phrases and she would give him answers and further information at all times.
On the day he discovered her powers, he asked her what Dungeons and Dragons is. He heard Soobin and his friends mention it a few times by now and never asked them about anything because he did not want any of them to make fun of him. When he found out what it is though, he asked Soobin if he could try it out sometime.
Soobin, who was immediately sold on the idea, texted in the group chat with his friends to tell them about it and Jisung immediately set the date to Saturday, saying he would already have a oneshot prepared by then.
So now they are all gathered in Soobin's living room, the table filled with different items, maps and dice. All of the snacks they had brought and prepared are all around them.
The best thing about this in Yeonjun's eyes though, is the costumes everyone is wearing. Because Jisung insisted on everyone dressing up as their characters to properly introduce them to Yeonjun. The prince just finds it incredibly cute.
