Sunday.

Today is Sunday and Soobin would actually have to get back to work the following day. So in a way, he has chosen a good day to finally end his relationship with Hyeja. Doing it at work would be even more unfortunate than actually speaking to her the day before. Like this, they would probably just be avoiding each other at work and everything is alright like that.

But first of all, Soobin would actually have to get this all over with somehow.

He is already dressed and ready to leave the apartment, as he is currently putting on his shoes to do exactly that. He and Hyeja would be meeting at a little cafe that is located right between both their homes.

He had made sure to be extra quiet as well when he got up and ready, making sure he would not wake Yeonjun up, who has been sleeping while fully clothed last night, making sure he and Soobin would not end up doing anything inappropriate. After all, Yeonjun did not want to make things even worse than they already are. Especially not after that conversation with Soobin last night about feeling guilty for cheating. Suddenly, kissing or getting any closer to Soobin just felt so wrong to Yeonjun.

Soobin sensed that something was off, but did not really ask about it. He just accepted it being something like Yeonjun feeling like he was just a placeholder or something like that, but decided he did not want to know that for sure and possibly end up hurting Yeonjun even more by making him talk about what is bothering him before he is actually ready to share it. In a way he is hoping that his guess is wrong about what it is that is making him feel so distant all of a sudden.

So right now, he just quietly exits his home and gets into the car to drive to the cafe where he would be meeting Hyeja.

During the entire drive to the cafe, Soobin feels like he should feel at least something. But for some reason, he cannot really get himself to feel too bad or excited or anything else for that matter. It feels like he is just casually getting to the cafe because he felt like getting himself some coffee or something.

He also still feels a little torn in a way and the closer he gets to his destination, the more he actually starts to fear that this all could have a rather big effect on most of his life. Not necessarily just because of his relationship that is about to end, but also because of his work, since he and Hyeja are coworkers.

Yeonjun is also something he is unsure about. What exactly is he expecting to happen when he gets back home after breaking up with Hyeja and Yeonjun is waiting for him right there? What is Yeonjun even going to say?

What do I even expect Yeonjun to say?

The drive is over a lot faster than he was hoping for it to be and Soobin parks the car before he gets out and straight up walks into the cafe. He was considering to wait inside his car for a moment to try and find out how he is going to speak to Hyeja, but decided rather quickly that waiting and thinking too much about it would only end up making things worse and actually leave him a lot more nervous as well.

When he enters the cafe, he cannot spot Hyeja anywhere and decides to take a seat somewhere in the back. The cafe is not too crowded, but not too full either. There is a decent amount of people here and Soobin is mostly dreading the moment things are going to get a little more uncomfortable between him and Hyeja today. People are going to stare and they are most definitely going to talk about them as well.

He already orders his usual and Hyeja actually walks in in that exact moment, ordering as well as she stands right behind the chair opposite Soobin.

As soon as the waiter is gone, she approaches Soobin and pecks him on the lips, greeting him as he responds rather awkwardly himself. She takes a seat and Soobin clears his throat, really not knowing how to start this conversation at all.
