Marley always liked Herbology. She found the biology of all the different types of plants interesting, of course she found biology fascinating in general but the way plants work. That was something she stayed up thinking about. Of course she always stays up, no thanks to insomnia, but still. She was real Neville Longbottom.

And a new thing she likes about her class is now her new roommate is in there with her, and she brought Thing.

Marley noticed Wednesday talking to herself and presumed it wasn't in fact herself she was talking but none other than Marley's favourite hand, so she decided to go over to them.

"A lefty wouldn't have failed me." Wednesday scolded the hand.

"Hey don't be mean to the little guy." Marley told Wednesday after seeing Thing cower down.

"Don't sulk." She told him.

Marley now moved over to the goths right to see Thing better.

"And why were you being so crude Miss Addams?" Marley asked.

"He lost Rowan in the bathroom at the station."

Marley noticed her shoe was untied and bent down to retie it.

"I'm going to have to find new evidence myself, since you're the one who lost our only lead." She scolded the hand, yet again.

"I see you finally made a friend." Marley heard Bianca pipe up, "Even if it is a plant."

Marley stood up, 'revealing' herself if you will.

"Seriously dude." She scoffed, raising an eyebrow.

"I go for quality over quantity." Wednesday retorted.

"Okay c'mon you too?" Marley asked the girl, cause her to give her a look of disbelief before walking over to the rest of the class.

"What?" The brunette wondered following behind.

Instead of sitting next to Xavier today she decided to sit with Enid and Yoko. Which was lucky because Marleys normal seat was taken by Wednesday, something she didn't mind at all. At least it was someone she was friends with, well were they friends? Marley didn't know and for some reason that bugged her.

Marleys attention was pulled away from her thoughts when she saw a spider made from lead on the bench in front.

"I doubt Wednesday is impressed by your tricks, Mr Thrope." Ms Thornhill spoke up.

"Admit it, you're a little impressed." Xavier told Wednesday, who's response was to 'kill' the spider. Causing the class to laugh.

'Alrighty then'

"Wednesday, we're thrilled to have you join us on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants." Thornhill told her making her way to the front of the desk.

Now one thing she didn't like about this class was the teacher.

Sure Thornhill seemed nice and to most people, she was but she had a weird hatred for Marley and so whenever Enid or Xavier brought it up she just said "It feels kinda homophobic if you ask me" every time without fail, which she does a lot.

But it wasn't just that, like before Marley got a weird feeling about her. Something just didn't sit right, but she didn't know what it was. And that bothered her.

"Now... who can tell us the name of this beauty?" She asked the class, gesturing to the flower Marley knew as the Ghost Orchid.

'Or if you wanna get fancy Dendrophylax lindenii'

"Dendrophylax lindenii." Wednesday said at the same time Marley thought it.

"Otherwise known as the ghost orchid." Bianca said, putted her raised hand down.

"First discovered on the Isle of Wight in 1854." The goth finished.

"Very good, Wednesday." Thornhill congratulated, looking actually impressed. "Looks like you may have competition for first chair, Bianca." The redhead told her.

At this Marley scrunched up her face a bit from where it was in her palm, for she was first chair in the class. And she knew Bianca knows this because on multiple occasions Marley has helped with her homework and studying. Before her and Xavier broke up that is, well also after, but he doesn't need to know that.

"Wednesday, perhaps you can identify the ghost orchid's greasiest qualities." The teacher asked her, ignoring the class snickering at her last statement.

"Resilience and adaptability." She answered immediately. "It's able to thrive in even the most hostile environments."

"But it's mere presents can change the ecosystem, causing the established plants to reject it." Bianca added.

"Usually because the native species is allowed to thrive unchecked. Nothing a Weedwacker couldn't fix." Wednesday continued.

"You can most certainly try." Bianca answered smugly.

"Are we still talking about flowers?" Xavier asked, causing the class to laugh.

"Thank you, ladies, for those illuminating insights. Clearly the plants aren't the only carnivores in class today." Thornhill said.

"Oh my god that was sooo funny." Marley said only loud enough for Enid and Yoko to heard causing them both to chuckle.

Marley was yet again in the canoe when Wednesday came over.

"I have to get back to the woods, but Weems has been watching me like a vulture circling a carcass." She informed both the blonde and brunette.

"Weird analogy, I like it." Marley told them.

"And you want us to cover so that you can return to the scene of a crime that didn't happen?" Enid guessed.

"I have beekeeping club this afternoon. I need you as decoy." She told Enid, "and I need you to come to the woods with me." She then told Marley.

"Sorry. Two strikes." Enid started, "I'm busy and bees totally creep me out."

"Bees are so cute though." Marley disagrees yet again because they have had this conversation a few too many times.

"Why don't you ask Thing? Oh, wait you can't because he's mad at you." Enid sassed, ignoring Marley's comment.

"Why's he mad? He's the one who screwed up with Rowan." Wednesday asked.

"All I know is that we spent and hour giving each other manis, and he really opened up. Even Marley got her nailed painted." Enid exclaimed.

Marley then showed her newly painted navy blue nails.

"He feels like you don't respect him as a person." Marley informed the shorter girl.

"Well technically, he's only a hand." Wednesday said.

"A fine example." Marley told her.

"Wednesday! He's your family. And he would do anything for you." Enid reminded her.

"Go apologise and we'll reconsider helping you." Marley told the goth before getting back to adding the finishing touches to the canoe.

After a few seconds contemplating what Marley said, the goth girl walked away to go apologies to Thing.
