Wednesday awoke with a gasp and immediately shot up into a sitting position just as she saw Thing and Marley, who wore a face of extreme concern for the previously unconscious girl which quickly turned into relief.
"I saw her! The girl from my visions." She told them, "Her name is Goody Addams, and I believe she's my ancestor from 400 years ago."
Just as she finished telling them about Goody a rustling could be heard from the opposite side of the house, both Wednesday and Marley's head snapped towards the sound. Wednesday shared a look with Thing before getting up, Marley not far behind.
The spaces between the wooden panels were not small to say the least, so it was very easy for both girls to see what was happening outside the remains of the house.
The disadvantage however to only being able to see through a fairly large crack was that most of their vision was still blocked from the wooden exterior, leaving only a strip for them to see what was happening.
When nothing moved and all was still, Wednesday turned back around, feeling they were under no threat.
"Must've been the bearded man from earlier." She told them.
"It's not." Marley said, moving her blazer up, so Wednesday could the hairs that were all sticking straight up. After this revelation Wednesday turned back around to have one last look, only to be met with the eye of the monster.
Its sudden appearance and growl shocked Wednesday, causing her to take a few hurried steps back. Marley however knew this was coming and grabbed Wednesday's waist, moving her out of the way.
The monster then disappeared, no attacking, no defending, nothing. Just gone.
Marley didn't even hear Wednesday telling her to leave until the girl was directly in front of her.
"Mars!"
That got her attention.
"We need to go."
"Yeah." She breathed, "Yeah okay, let's go."

They were a little while away from the meeting house when they saw the tracks. The one that belonged to the monster that was apparently stalking them. Only the longer the marks went on, the smaller they got, and eventually, they became human feet marks.
When they got smaller, Wednesday knelt down to get a closer look at the prints. Realisation flooding her senses.
"The monster's human." She revealed.
"What the hell are you doing?" Xavier asked from behind the girls. Wednesday stood up at the sound of his voice, facing him.
"I was following the monster." She told him.
"We were following the monster, actually." Marley corrected.
"Wait you saw it?" Xavier asked, looking between the two girls before frantically searching the area. "It's here? Do you have a death wish or something?"
"What exactly are you doing here?" Wednesday questioned the boy.
"I overheard you say you were checking out the old meeting house. I guess it's lucky I showed up when I did." He told the shorter girl.
"I did learn one thing." She said, looking into his eyes. Once again summoning the beast in Marley's chest. "The monster is human. Its tracks turned from monster prints to human ones."
"Show me." He demanded.
Wednesday accepted his request, walking to where she knew the prints would be, only for nothing to be there.
