Fight or Flight - Wednesday Addams

Chapter 21

Marley got off the bus right after Wednesday, choosing to wait with Ajax for Enid to get off. Still however, she watched as the goth walked over to Xavier who was standing in front of a wall with white paint on it, covering the mural he painted there last Outreach Day.

Marley couldn't help but envy the long haired boy as he continued to talk with Wednesday about whatever, a monster in her chest being created from watching the interaction, its first words being nothing but angry growls.

Marley turned around when Enid called her name, running up and hugging her from the side. Something she was not expecting seeing as she was focused on... other things.

"Jesus Sinclair, you scared the shit outta me." Marley told her, clutching her chest, the monster gone for now, but will no doubt return.

"I'm surprised you didn't know I was coming with your... Marley tingle." The blonde retorted, gesturing in Marleys general direction.

"Okay, just because May calls it a 'Peter Tingle' doesn't mean you have to call mine a Marley tingle." She told the werewolf.

"Kinda think it does." Ajax said, adding into the topic, causing Enid to point at him in agreement.

"You too huh? I do not appreciate being harassed here. It's basically homophobia." She challenged, the other two just shaking their heads in fond disagreement.

"What were you so focused on anyway?" Enid asked.

Marley did not want to answer her question, but lucky for her, Ajax it instead.

"She was watching Wednesday and Xavier talk."

Enid let out a very, loud and excited squeal at his words, jumping up and down on the stop, clapping her hands together.

"Thank you so much for that." Marley deadpanned to Ajax, who just looked confused. God that boy was an idiot.

"And why were you watching Wednesday with such adoration gleaming in your eyes?" Enid questioned.

"Okay I was trying to hear what they were both talking about, and I was not looking at Wednesday with adoration." She fought back.

"You're right, she was more looking at Xavier with jealousy." The gorgon cleared up.

"No no no no." Marley shook her hand at him.

"Oh this keeps getting better and better." Enid exclaimed.

"Just like Jake Peralta I do not get jealous." The telekinetic claimed.

"He admitted to being jealous later in the episode though." Ajax fought back.

"I really regret binging Brooklyn Nine-Nine with you now." Marley told him.

"No you don't"

"You're right I don't. But nevertheless I do not get jealous. And anyway why would I be jealous of Xavier in the first place? Cause Wednesday was talking to him? Big whoop she talks to me all the time!"

"You're jealous because you think Wednesday likes him." Enid teased.

"Oh shit do you like Wednesday?" Ajax realised.

"No! No I do not like Wednesday, I mean as a person, sure but I don't like like her." She defended.

"Mmhmm, sure." Enid said, walking away. Ajax following behind.

"That didn't sound like you were convinced." Marley yelled after them.

"Son of a bitch." She said to herself as she ran after them. "Hey! Wait up!" She called after them, they didn't wait up.
