"Who did it?" The goth asked.
Marley turned to look at her, forearms still on the railing, she sighed, Wednesday wouldn't give up until she found out what happened but Marley wasn't ready for her to know.
"I already said I wasn't going to tell you Wednesday and I tend to stick to my word." Marley answered, facing forward again.
"I will find out what happened, whether it's you who tells me or not." She was persisting, something Marley predicted would happen.
The brunette chuckled, "Well good luck with that, everyone either has a different story from the original or they don't believe it actually happened."
"Why don't they believe it happened?" Wednesday asked quickly.
"I know what you're trying to do Addams." Marley told her.
"And what is it I'm trying to do exactly?" She asked.
"You ask me questions at a rapid speed causing me to answer them truthfully." The taller girl stated. "Am I right?" She asked, turning to look at the shorter girl who straightened her posture at the eye contact they held and the fact that she had figured out her plan. But nevertheless, she remained silent.
"I'll take that as a yes then." Marley smirked.
Wednesday hadn't thought of a come back, still stunned that Marley knew what she was trying to do, so the two stood in silence. One of them looking at the sky, the other looking at the person with them, and no, it wasn't Marley.
"Will you ever tell me?" Wednesday questioned, finding her voice again.
"Maybe." The girl answered truthfully, "But it would be in the far future, when I learn to live with what happened."
Wednesday hummed, seemingly in agreement, something Marley didn't know she could do.
"We should probably head back inside, it's getting kinda cold out here." Marley suggested.
"I don't feel cold." Wednesday protested.
"Okay, well for those of us who do feel the cold, I'm telling you, it's cold. We're going inside." The telekinetic demanded.
"Fine." The goth huffed in agreement, begrudgingly making her way back inside, Marley following behind.
When they were back in the room Marley went back over to her desk, looking for something in particular. A book is what she was looking for, one she thought Wednesday may like. It was hard to read, having very real and confronting themes, but Marley believed that the goth would enjoy the read.
"What are you doing?" Wednesday asked from her side of the room.
"Looking for something." Marley said as she was stil looking through her mess of a bookshelf, she really needed to sort it out.
"What are you looking for?" The Addams' girl questioned.
"This!" Marley exclaimed as se found what she was looking for. "It's a book."
"I can see that."
"Ha ha. No it's really good one. It doesn't have a happy ended don't worry and it's not very happy at all, that's why I think you'll like it."
"What's it called?"
"人間失格." She told her. "It translates directly to 'disqualified as human' but they ended up calling it 'No Longer Human'. It's a good book, I think you'll like it."
"Why do you think that?" The goth asked.
"I don't know, it just reminds me of you I guess." Marley told her, a soft smile on her face as she looked at the book again.
