"I don't want to be no policeman, Marshal.""Nor did I, my friend. I can promise you that."

"Ah! Dixie Gold! What a delight to have your protection once more!" Nigel West Dickens, the deceitful snake oil peddler, greeted her from his decaying wagon.
Her headache intensified as Nigel drew closer, perched atop his rickety vehicle. "Wish I could say the same about protecting you," she grumbled under her breath.
"Haha, always the joker, Dixie! Come now, we must make haste. There are plenty of eager customers waiting to purchase my miraculous elixirs!" Nigel declared proudly, urging his wagon onto the road. Dixie's loyal horse followed closely behind, the woman in the worn-out saddle scanning the land ahead.
Meanwhile, back at the MacFarlane ranch, it was the day after John had to cautiously explain to a nosy woman why he couldn't divulge his entire background. He feared that revealing too much would endanger her and her family, entangling them in something they shouldn't be involved in. Having just won a horse race against the woman, John now sat atop his horse, patiently waiting for her as her horse approached, hooves thundering against the ground.
"That was fun" she said and the man just shrugged
"Sure" he responded
"You know, you should go pay the Marshal a visit in Armadillo some time, I'm sure he could help you deal with that nice Mr. Williamson" she told him remembering Dixie's father had asked to send John his way when he could ride again
"Yeah, I might just do that. Miss MacFarlane" John told her growing slightly irritated of the woman but still grateful for her helping hand
"You do whatever you think's best Mr. Marston." She responded before leaving John to his own to get the wagon read to pick up some supplies only for John to tag along

John entered the doctors office per Bonnie's orders after driving them to town, he got the free medicine before going back to meet Miss. MacFarlane in the front of the general store where she was leaning against a post
"Well thanks for driving me. It was nice to be able to enjoy the view for once and a little company never hurts now and again" she said while walking beside John towards the front of the wagon
"Your more than welcome, miss. Least I can do" John responded politely before stopping to let her climb aboard the wagon "Thank you for the medicine"
"Why don't you have a look around Armadillo? You can always take a stagecoach back to the ranch later" she told the man as she climbed to the wagons seat
"I might just do that. Travel safely, miss" John told her
"Try not to get yourself shot. I won't be around to save you this time" Bonnie joked before moving the reins to get the wagon moving and John slightly waved her goodbye before turning towards the sheriffs office making his way inside
