☽✫.✽✦✽.»»——⍟——««.✽✦✽.✫☾After telling John the story of the Trojan horse the twos trusty steeds trotted up to the old church and they dismounted tying their reins to the hitching post
"You go talk to Seth, I got something to do." She told him, John nodded agreeing and the two split up
Dixie neared Priscilla headstone, she wiped away a few dead vines and leaves before taking a rag out of her satchel and dumped a small amount of water from her canister on it before gently cleaning the headstone of dirt and grime once the woman's name was clean Dixie smiled to herself before putting the rag away
"Hi mama." She told the head stone and kissed her fingers before placing it on the cold stone she always considered Priscilla to be a mother to her and the woman before she passed saw the girl as her daughter even if she didn't birth her
"I can't stay long but I just wanted to clean up your stone and leave you a present." Dixie said and dug a small bundle from her satchel
"This is the pocket watch Jesse always carried on him, he left at home the day he died, he forgot to put them on while he was running late, I was hoping you could watch over him for me, especially since I never got to lay him to rest." Dixie told Priscilla's stone while digging a small hole at the base it
She wrapped the watch in a small piece of fabric she kept from the blanket they made love under for many nights that they used to snuggled up into every night after he come home from work and she had cooked a wonderful dinner
With a small tear running down her cheek she carefully put the dirt over the watch and patted the soil
"I love you Jesse I always will, and I love you mama, I miss you every day so does daddy, but you two will also be happy to know I finally told someone else about you two...the first living soul I've told." She told them then she heard something that made her wipe her tear away and look to the figure of John leaning against a tree and a man hutches behind an dug up grave
"It's mine. It's mine. All mine!"
She sighed before telling her long gone love ones goodbye and would return soon she walked closer to John who looked at her with a board look apparent on his face
"Sure." John finally said and carefully moved Dixie to stand behind him and closer to the tree as he leaned a little to look around the headstone the crazy man sat behind
"And where's this Moses now?"The man was quiet then his head slowly moved out from behind the stone looking at John
"He's at Benedict point. The law got him for exhuming. Some people...they feel differently. Not Moses. Him, me are the same. The self same" the crazy man answered and John nodded before looking at Dixie then back to the man
"Well, come on, Seth. Let's go see Moses, get you your map back. Then maybe you'll help me." John offered
The man stood and looked around him before responding
"Alright, partner. Let's go." Seth said liking his offer
John nodded and Seth ran towards his horse, John looked to Dixie holding a hand out and helped her step over the open grave and continued to hold it only releasing once they neared the horses
