They quickly mounted their horses and quickly rode through the mansion gates as they left the village John couldn't keep his mouth shut

"So I finally met your great leader. He certainly lives up to his reputation." John couldn't help but say

"What would you know about leadership?" Vincente spat out not going to listen to his Coronel get spoken badly off by an American

"Only that most can't handle power." John answered speaking from his own experiences

"It is easy to criticize power, when you have never had it yourself. Maybe it is because you have never been in the presence of a strong man before. I have seen the pictures of your country in the newspapers. Men preening and decorating themselves like women. Vanity is the legacy the British left behind." The Captain said thinking it would get under johns skin but the man remotely didn't care

"Look, I don't know the fella. Just sayin'...if that's how he treats his own men?" John said in slight disbelief but a small part of him remembers being treated like that

"Coronel Allende controls any situation he is in because he knows the situation can never be allowed to control him. It is what a leader must do. And, in case you had not noticed, we are fighting a war. We're all under a lot of pressure." Vencente said trying to make the two bounty hunters feel for him and his country but he got the opposite as Dixie couldn't help but speak

"Pressure to find young girls?" She growled out her jaw tightening a bit

"The Coronel needs recreation like anybody else. He does not have time to court women. He's waging a war on ignorance, and is impatient for victory. He is trying to inspire wisdom in those more stupid than himself." Vincente answered the woman even if he didn't like it, they where quiet for a moment before he spoke up again

"My men left some time ago. We are already late. Come on, we will race there." Just as the words left his mouth the men where staring shocked and coughing on the dust Dixie has kicked up as her spur rowels urged her horse faster though the animal went willingly enjoying the moment to feel like a wild horse once again. It was quite obvious who had won that race as Tersoro Azul appeared out of the desert like a mirage.

As she approached the mission, she decelerated to a halt when a handful of soldiers outside discharged several rounds into the sky. Dixie remained mounted on her horse, prepared to bolt if the men attempted any mischief before her ally arrived. Fortunately, she didn't have to linger for long as the sound of John and Vincente's horses galloping reached her. The captain swiftly dismounted his horse to engage with his men. A man with a larger belly approached him, both conversing in Spanish.

"De Santa! Por que tardaste tanto? Y quien es este gringo y señora?" The man spoke to the captain

"No debe un favor. Cada hombre y señora ayuda. " Vincente answer him

John cast a glance at Dixie, both of them sharing a sigh as they descended from their horses to approach the two men.

"I hope you fight better than this little girl, gringo. Come, let's have some fun!" The man taunted as they approached. Judging by his uniform, Dixie had a hunch that he could be a general.
