Dixie holster her revolver as the gunfire came to a halt and Jonah ran out of the shack towards a wounded man

"Hey, look what I got here!" Jonah said walking over a crawling man towards them "this son of a bitch is still breathing!"

Dixie with a eyebrow raised as she watched the deputy then pretend he was riding the man like a horse
"Come here, boy. Come on, Bessie, giddy up!" But his fun was ending when he saw her father approaching "Aw..."

Jonah stepped aside as Marshal Johnson walked closer

"Norman Deek." He stated before kicking the man in the side resulting in the man crying and coughing in pain and said a simple "fuck"

"Nice to see you again, buddy" her father said while she leaned against the only intact wall and John walked over and joined her as he lit a cigarette and offered it to her

"Thanks for your help, John. Norman here's gonna help us get to Bill. Ain't you, Norman?" Her father said sending a nod to
John who returned the gesture

"Thank you, Mr. Deek. Mighty kind." John said with a smile making Dixie chuckle from next to him before passing the cigarette back

"Fuck you!" Norman stated from the ground

"Hogtie him, let's get him to jail." Johnson said and they watched as Eli and Jonah put the man across Jonah's horse before they all mounted up

"I gotta say some mighty fine shooting Dixie" John told the woman next to him

"Thank you Mr. Marston your not so bad yourself" she said sending a smile to the man

"Could use a aim like yours watchin' my back when we attack Fort Mercer" he told her hoping she would be there

"Why just Fort Mercer from what I've seen you could use someone who knows this unforgiving land" she said with a smirk "it was my job before that good for nothing Dickens swindled the wrong men"

"I think I'll manage just fine on my own" John told her but thankful for her offer

"That not what I saw when I helped Bonnie load your dying ass into the wagon" she said and John looked at her

"You got me from Fort Mercer?" He questioned and she just nodded this time

"Good to see you received your hat" she said smile never fading "was worried Bonnie was gonna hide that from you so she could smell it in her room at night"

"I'm sorry, what?" John questioned wondering if he heard the woman right but she just sent him a eyelash flutter that made his heart skip a beat

"Whelp if you change your mind about wanting my assistance you can find me at the MacFarlanes Ranch" she said and walked to her father's horse and climbed on behind him and they left John to his own troubles

But the man didn't move on from the area immediately he smoked another cigarette his mind swimming in thoughts most about the Marshals daughter at first he felt guilty having the small feelings due to Abigail but the two's relationship as been a sinking ship since Jack was ten they where only keeping it barely floating for the boys sake so he could have a chance at a good childhood but before he was forced to be the government errand boy he noticed that the boy wasn't happy and has told John he was tired of the twos constant arguing and told his father he would be ok if they separated but John shook those thoughts away to focus on his mission but the woman with black hair and white strand was shifting the ground right below his feet
