                    Prince Shalva

Crown Prince Shalva was a scheming and cunning man himself. He was not a fool nor was hopelessly in love with anyone. He was a man of early 20 but due to the mortal sickness of his old and ailing father he came to know of every single details of the royal state management. He had alluring physic and charming personality in outer side which could attract any girl of the Indian continents ("Aryabart") but inside he was dangerous than python. Whom he got under his hands once he would never let him or her go out. His cunningness came from his matashri or mother who to secure her post as the Queen had poisoned dozens of concubines of his father.

His eyes were firy red with piercing gaze. His figure was tall and slender yet astute. His hands were strong to choke his opponent. His legs were both sturdy enough to kill his foe in only one kick. His body was chiseled and muscular. His six pack abs was to die for. In one word in his looks he could surely compete with Kam Dev (God of Love) himself. Even Indra Dev (King of all Gods) could not hold candle to him. Original Amba fell for his killing charm and superb acting ability.

He on the contrary was not in love with anyone. He had no time to loose. Love was a stupid sentiment for him and he could not afford to fall in love with anybody. Not with his fiancee Yamini nor with Princess Amba. He was planning to take over the dynasty of his sick and ailing father. He knew before his own coronation he had to marry someone. It would be better if she would be a Princess of prosperous land. Kashi was a prosperous land but it had three daughters. Fool!! His own fiancee Princess Yamini was also a princess of Goura-Banga province but she was the sole heir of her father. She had no other siblings. That state would be soon triumphed by him. He just had to agree to marry her. Kashi, on the contrary, would never be his own. Because the other two son-in-laws of Kashi province would never accept his dominance so easily. Hence he felt engrosed in thought. Princess Yamini looked much more promising candidate than Princess Amba in his eyes.

But the news which had satisfied him most was the death of his own father. It was not true that he did not love his Pitah (father) but that "sickly old fat pig" (in his opinion) had to die one day to leave the throne in his favor. Now he was a king and did not need anyone's permission to do anything. He married his childhood sweetheart Yamini in secret and left her at her own "Maika" (father's home). But just before that he ensured to make her pregnant with his seed. He wanted to have his heir as soon as possible. But why so much secrecy?!!! The answer would be find out in the next section.

Shalva's POV:

(3 yrs ago):

I like her (Amba) very much. But I can't marry a foolish inexperienced naive girl like her. Even if my own marriage was already fixed with my childhood sweetheart, the naive and sweet Princess Yamini, I can marry another girl. As a Crown Prince and soon to be King I am allowed to. But not that stupid fool Amba. Yikes!!

She had good body. Her face, her big smile and her hips make her desirable in my eyes. But she can be a very good lover not a good wife at all. Not to me.

(2 yrs ago):

My Yamini was so timid, so foolish, so-called gullible girl. When I came to her at touched her hands she thought I fell in love with her. When made a "Gandharv Bibaho" with her and told her to keep it a secret in the fear of my father she believed my nonsense. I wanted to ensure the security of my state by marrying her. I also wanted to create offspring soon after my own marriage. This is good. In this way I can retain my bachelorhood in public and yet enjoy my marital bliss with my wife whenever I want to. I am so very clever. (He was appreciating himself in mind).

( Around 1 yrs ago):

Yike, I don't like to go to Yamini now. When I met her last she looked like a massive potato. I know. I know. She is pregnant now. But I dislike her body. It looks ugly. (He always judged a girl from her bodily beauty. What a nasty shameful man!! He did not deserve to be any girl's lover, finance, father or husband.)

She looks so full that I want to puke. Even for sitting she needs my help. And when she sat down at last with much effort she looks like a giant spider with a fat belly. Yikes!! Since childhood I hate fat bellied men and women as my own father was one of them. I can't go to her now. I will now make some excuse of state affairs and that fool will easily believe me. I need Amba now. I saw her two month's ago. God!! What a hip!! What a face!! She transformed into a ravishing beauty nowadays. I even heard that she tried to commit suicide after being rejected by me. Ohh!! Why don't she came to me!! I will cherish her body whole day and night!!!

Now is the proper time to meet her father, that fat headed King Kashya, to have her hands in marriage. I don't need her as my lawfully wedded wife. No I just want to devour her alive.
....

Story Unfolds:

"Maharajah (king), I am afraid that the Princess Amba is suffering from concussion." The Rajvaidya told it grumpily.

"Do something. Please. She is my most cherished daughter. Her mother told me in her deathbed to take care of her with my own life." King Ambikesh was folding his hands in front of the experienced doctor.

"Don't fold your hands, Rajan. I will do anything possible for your elder daughter." The doctor assured him. Then he looked at the window while rubbing his chin thoughtfully and said "To refresh the lost memory of Rajkumari I need the urgent help from outside. As the Princess is not recognizing you and your twins, he or she must be someone else. But who could be that?!!!"

Suddenly a guard ran into the room and saluted to the King who arched his eyebrows questioningly to him.

"Maharajah, King Shalva is asking permission to meet you. Now."

The King frowned a little. What did that cunning boy wanted to do now?!! Then indicated the guard to bring him inside. He was apprehensive of that boy but being a devoted father he could not offend his daughter Amba. He had to listen to his pleading.

Shalva came inside regally and bowed to the King. He nodded his head very slowly to his would be father-in-law who also reciprocated him. Both of them looked at each other in silence.

Then Shalva broke his silence by uttering this -

"Hey Rajan (O mighty King), I want to marry your eldest daughter Amba. Kindly do me a favour and accept my proposition."
