"We have to abduct those three Kashi Princesses, Mate (mother). There is no other option left for us now."

Satyabati looked proudly to her son Bhism. At last he was reciprocating the same thought she was having too.

"Okay. Then try to take a huge army with you." She ordered him.

"Nahi Mate (no mother). I am going not in a war. For abducting the three princesses of Kashi Naresh I am alone sufficient. So don't worry." He stood up and firmly answered her.

"I know. Putra Bhism, believe me, I never have any questions about your capabilities. But the mighty Kashi King Kashya Ambikesh is not a little bit easy going person. He will not let it this insult go. He will send his army behind your tail. To reach Hastinapur from Kashi you need at least 3 days. In these days he will secretly attack on you. You are a great warrior but not your charioteer. He is compatible with just riding your horses, instead of fighting for you. So at least take some men with you. For my sake. I beg you. As a mother I am scared for your security even if I have no doubt in your fighting spirit." Satyabati had folded her palms in front of Bhism.

He opened his eyes wider. He never saw his youngest mother to beg to someone like this!!! He rushed to her side and lovingly touched with his hands his mother's folded palms.

"Mate (mother), don't do that. You are making me sinner. I am your son. You should order me. Not beg to me like this way." He took her hands and had touched his eyes with them. To him his mother was his God.

Satyabati smiled brightly. She knew her goal was achieved. He would not dare to out out of the option now. It was the first fault of Bhism to abduct three Kashi princesses from their own Swayambar ceremony. The second sin was the war and destruction of small Gandhar province for the sake of winning the hands of its pretty and petite princess Gandhari for the sake of his blind nephew Dhritashra in the order of Satyabati once again. For these two sins he had died painfully in Kurukshetra war. However the second guilt of Bhism was not a bit necessary for our story. So let's just concentrate on his first fault.
...

"Jiji, the Swayambar is tomorrow. Do you think that King of Hastinapur will attain the ceremony for our sake?!!!" Ambika asked her dreamily. Her twin sister Ambalika was also drooling over the same dream.

Amba pressed her both lips together to suppress her smile. She was in love with this two naive sisters of hers. But she was scared for her father too. She respected her father tremendously. She did not want to hurt him. But she had to. For the sake of her sisters.

She was convinced of her fate. Till that day she met with King Shalva several times. She felt disdain to him even though he seemed quite in love with her. She knew from her heart that she had to marry that vicious man. She was touched improperly by him. In the age of Mahabharata when a girl was already touched by a man then she became his. His own wife. His own property. She even being a 21 st century girl she had vast knowledge of Mahabharata age. She knew that it was utterly impossible for her to go to Bhism and seduce him to marry her. It was not possible by her anymore. She had been touched by that vile man. Shalva. She wanted to kill him alive. But she could not. She knew that she could not kill him. She was granted another life not to kill other. She needed to focus on his goal. To seduce Bhism. At least it was worth to trial. She need to get out of this kind of painful life-death circle. She had to meet with her husband Rehan and her son. She just had to.

"Jiji, do you think he will love us as we love him?!!" Ambika and Ambalika were still drooling over their dreams.

Amba sighed hard. These foolish girls did not know their future!! What kind of suffering was waiting for them they did not realize a little bit.
....

"I have to stop thinking about her. It's quite improper, Mate (mother)." Bhism told this painfully to his own biological mother Ganga who was till now listening carefully his mental dilemma.

This mental dilemma was killing him. He did not know why he seemed so smitten by a name!!! He did not even see her portrait!! Then why?!! God damn why?!! Being unable to bear the pain anymore he like his childhood rushed to his mother for help.

"Tell me, Mate. What to do now?!!" He asked her.

She tilted her head to him and bit her lower lip before answering in cold tone unusual for her -

"Why are asking for my opinion now, Putra?!! Before taking the fiercest vow did you consult with me or took my permission?!!! If you told me then I would warn you that in near future a girl was rushing into your life who has the power to either make you or break you up totally. Do you know her name? Amba!! Yes. Kashi princess firy and fiesty Amba. The girl who flutter your heart. I will tell you to make her your wife. But no. You are adamant for your greedy stepmother and her happiness. You sacrificed your only chance to be happy in future. You lost everything that day, Son. You surly lost everything. Now Amba will never be yours. But yes she will definitely come to you and force you to marry her. But you, Ganga Putra Debabrata Bhism, is now bound by your vow. You have to remain unmarried and also die childless. Huh!!" She looked at him in anger.

He looked at her in shock. His mother was generally a kindest and gentlest soul. How could she change at this moment so much?!!

She as if by reading his mind replied proudly -

"I don't change. You changed yourself. You have chained yourself with the bloody throne of Hastinapur that took your father's life untimely. Now it's your turn. You have to suffer a lot for it. Great insults are waiting for you. And most of them will come from the girl whom you unknowingly gave your heart and soul. Amba will kill you. She will destroy you. Demolish you. And your beloved family and dotted mother Satyabati Devi will be proud to see your downfall before her eyes. I curse her to remain alive till she see you and her humiliated before her very eyes in the hands of her dear grandson (she meant Dhritashtra)." By telling this she had pointed her index finger on the face of her only living son angirly while claiming this -

"Beware. Debabrata. Amba is your destruction. Satyabati is the means of your demolition. Don't go there. Don't go. Come back." She disappeared in thin air.

Her shrill voice rang on his ears and a gust of shiver ran down his spine. He did not comprehend what his mother was yelling him but his prediction had proved true. It was bad omen for his state.

He closed his eyes too tightly and murmured in pain "Pitashree tell me what to do?" He cried out his heart. Nobody answered him. Only a gentle breeze of air touched his disravelled hair reminding his father's gentlest touch on his forehead. He looked at everywhere fanatically and by finding none broke down into a heartfelt sob. He did not notice that from far end another young man was seeing him. He was Gandharav Prince Basumitra. His father Shantanu's recent form. He felt sorry for his son. His heart was heavily bleeding but he could not face Bhism as Bhism could not recognize him in this new form. Alas this truly unfortunate father-son duo never got another chance to meet again in near future.
