*at Lucy's apartment Tim and Lucy have an interview together
Alexi: does it shake you at all the fact that your doppelgänger relationship was so dysfunctional
Lucy : I that's an unfair characterisation it was dysfunctional I mean Jake cheated with Safa's best friend after trying to cut her out of a big money deal
Alexi : fair enough but that doesn't change the question
Tim : What are you implying that that we might suffer the same fate because of a couple of people who looked a tiny bit like us that were misfits
Alexi: I think it's a reasonable question
Tim : you're working to hard okay l I get it alright you're invested in a certain answer because it makes for a better documentary but we are not Jake and Sava okay I mean they are criminals whose lives were biased on deceit of course that duplicity infected their relationship but we are in a different place * I smile at Lucy
Lucy * I nod and smile back at him
Alexi: and what place is that
Lucy : if you don't know then you haven't been paying attention I mean
Alexi: okay so a place on honesty respect love
Lucy : yeah I mean those are those are good words yeah * I look at Tim then back at Alexi
Alexi: but do those qualities guarantee that you relationship will succeed where theirs failed
Tim : you * I was about to say something but Lucy says something
Lucy : well you know of course not * I put my hand on Tim's arm then rub it so I can calm his nerves down as I know what he said upset him a bit : but at this moment Tim and l are in a really beautiful place and that's all that matters
Tim : yeah look the thing you learn early on as police officers is that your future is never certain
Lucy : yeah anything can happen to anyone at any time
Tim : especially when they overstay their welcome
Lucy : *I laugh
Tim *points at him
Alexi : oh does that mean
Lucy : yeah we're uh done
Tim : that's right *we stand up
Lucy *removes wires that's on her shirt : do you want it grabs sushi
Tim *removes wires from his shirt : oh that's perfect
Lucy : okay
Tim : listen we're gonna be back in a hour this place better be spotless
Lucy *laughs : oh god
Alexi: yes sir
Lucy : thank you
Alexi : yeah thank you
Lucy *puts hand on Tim's arm then other hand on his arm then we walk out of the apartment
