Dear Saturn,
I can't come home. As of right now at least. We are all stuck here, unable to leave due to unexpected circumstances. The Commander just left after telling us some of the worst news I have ever heard in my life.

A few of my classmates went off on a mission last week. Every mission has risks, but it was not anticipated to be dangerous. Still, it ended in disaster. One of our trainers was killed in a small explosion, along with one of the older boys in my program. It was devastating for us all, of course, but it has shaken us more than anything.

My tears are staining this paper as I write to you, but I have not yet lost hope. I need you to do the same, my love. Do not lose hope for us, as I will return to you, no matter what it takes. I hoped to be back in time to celebrate your birthday, but due to this tragedy, I am afraid I cannot be there with you. My heart is broken, but I know you will still have a lovely day with your friends.

Keep your head up, my Saturn. Continue to share your light with those around you. And know that although I cannot be there with you physically, I am always with you. You are in my thoughts, my dreams, and my every move. After all of this is resolved, I know that we will both be stronger than ever.
