The air vibrated.

The water was paralysed.

The land was far away.

Emotions burned.

I had achieved something Muvina had not thought possible.

Which made two things clear to me.

One, how strong I had become.

And two, she had sent me there thinking I wouldn't come back.

'No, I won't let you do it,' she said, still unable to change her shocked face. 'You can't just go with my Goddess. I won't let you. You won't destroy everything. You can't go with her.'

I knew that perhaps I was risking a lot.

I was alone in her castle, at her mercy, with perhaps many guards aiming for my head at that very moment.

But with the trident in my hand, the power came over me, the confidence it provided taking over completely.

'Just watch me.'

Take me to her. I asked the sign.

And it answered.

A swirl of water instantly began to surround me, preventing me from doing anything more than just standing still, watching Muvina's face change from anger to disbelief.

I was taking over, I was doing the impossible. She was watching me right there, unable to stop me.

With her trident in my hand, the water began to transport me.

It surrounded me and gently carried me to where I needed to go.

It was such a sense of power, that just by closing my eyes, I felt each drop calling to me now.

The power of water.

And I just responded...

The water collapsed at my feet.

I opened my eyes.

I was no longer in the castle.

Where am I?

The colours overwhelmed me.

The blue hit me in the eyes.

It shimmered.

It shone.

Thousands of souls.

All together, swimming in an infinite sea made of crystal.

This was the true world of the mermaids.

I was standing over a rock, a rock in the middle of that beautiful world.

A Respirum around my head, maybe provided by the trident.

I didn't know. I didn't care.

I was just amazed.

But, with one step, I knew I had made a huge mistake.

The souls that swam shimmering calmly, each and every one of them, turned in my direction.

A silence succumbed to the beauty of that world.

'Intruder.'

'No,' I said back.

It was so clear it chilled my blood.

'Intruder.'

'Wait, please.'

'Intruder.'

They repeated it endlessly, in unison.

The trident was held in my hand, I felt it was the only thing keeping me on my feet.
